I keep wondering about testosterone for me as well but just can’t face the bumbling incompetence and ignorance I’d have to deal with, plus the risk that some idiot might say ‘Oh you can’t have HRT any more’ at all, and I’d be left in an even worse state … Sigh …
Glad you had the good night’s sleep, whatever the cause 😊

Hope you're designating the treating yourself kindly time!
yes you are doing a lot no wonder you feel a bit unbalanced - give yourself some time to just be and relax ..DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

VNM has rehung the wardrobe doors. The drawer fronts should go back on today. Wow! What a transformation of the built in furniture. Over the years the vinyl covering the chipboard had begun to peel away or fray and after research I thought it would be cheaper to spray paint the furniture than replace so got quotes - there are 4 wardrobe doors with frame built into an alcove and 3 sets of drawers built into the roof slope in the main bedroom (so 3 chests, 1 2 drawer and 2 3 drawer). The price for the spray paint was £1800.
VNM suggested we leave the old trim surrounds as that is still in a good condition and that he paint the doors and the drawer fronts and, well, just WOW. The difference is remarkable, the wardrobes look excellent, really nice quality and the the paint, the rollers, the undercoat, fillers etc all came in at under £200
He made the point yesterday that the bedroom is totally transformed, which it is, from a scruffy dated room to a clean modern room. I love it. (The estate agent had suggested the room be updated before going to market and I wanted it more "mine" anyway and this was such a budget fix that just required a lot of patient painting by VNM).Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Furniture did not get finished yesterday but is on the list for today before we go off to a wedding. We possibly will not stay long due to WattyDog but am looking forward to a happy wedding. It is being held on a working farm so I'm thinking over outfit choices as may need to wear my muck boots!
Cheap evening last night as invited two girlfriends for dinner. We had a nice evening in the garden sharing a bottle of wine and I cooked a black bean chilli using up stuff in the cupboards. WattyDog enjoyed himself too but so desperately wanted to play had to be confined to his pen.
August nearly over and we approach the last quarter of the year. I'm not sure why this year is whizzing past so fast but my credit card shows this was an expensive month. I've moved money from bank accounts into a "savings for credit card" account to be sure it will be ok when the payment is due end September . Unexpected and unbudgeted spends were just over 2 k to rebuild the wall and an additional £750 house insurance. This sounds high but after many calls I found that I needed a specialist insurance company for all the outbuildings and a usual domestic will not cover that. Finally settled on a separate policy for house and yard/outbuildings. They have never been insured in the past, but seems sensible to cover now it is all mine. Course sales covered the garden work.
Then of course there have been spends to make WattyDogs life easier like the rugs and a new harness and his pen and the rehab vet and so on. An expensive month but very little frivolous spending.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
