Watty's Awakening

Some days it feels like 2 steps forwards 3 back. Took CC out this morning for usual Sunday gossip with neighbour and remembered that yesterday evening Most Handsome had trodden on a piece of electric fencing without "drama". (Don't ask how he came to tread on it
) This can only mean somewhere the electric fence is shorting out so asked VNM for help and set about working out where/why when I got back. Whilst checking electrics I saw some large ragwort plants so dug those up so I did not forget them, then saw a sycamore had seeded itself so went to pull that out. I was not up to the task so went to ask VNM for help - he too failed so he went to get the tractor to pull it out
Now 2.50 pm and nothing we planned has actually happened, the electric fence still not working, the tractor broken down in field and I'm browsing on here with a coffee whilst planning next move.
There are any number of "things I would like to do" but I feel I need to sort out fencing and help with tractor before trying to start the days jobs (housework!) How can it nearly be 3 pm??
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

This is normal life though, and you got the ragwort 🥳4

It's alarming how much ragwort is still about, after all this time. Good that you got rid of it.
I hope you've now got the tractor and the fence working again.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I was thinking of something like that @Suffolk_lass Whatever I use will have to go on top of plum slate so I want to avoid a messy look but the plum slate looks very "dated" and I don't think can really stand up to the heavier vehicles, near the road where delivery drivers and lorries park it has crumbled away completely so whatever is used needs to have "kerb appeal" bearing in mind future plans and be hard wearing.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Bank Holiday Monday and the day stretches ahead. Looking forward to it with so many possible things to do.
More weeding of the front, more clearing of the apples, riding, work and housework all seem possible. Trying to work out priorities is the key or maybe just a little bit of each but then no one job ever seems to "be done".
Workwise I need to redo the final module for the course being taught at present as I still haven't got that quite right (it is fine but I'm being self critical and want it to be the best it can as I sold it without any discounts this time). I've also plans for a very short course that I want to get going this autumn so I've just worked out a title, subtitle and what I will cover whilst having breakfast. I've been thinking this one I might teach as a course of very short videos and have it as an ever green course, but, deliver the first live so I can see how it works. The aim for that one is to build the pension pot.
The current course and the September version of it covers all the work I am doing here on the house and the first steps of my dental work. I need to finish some figures for the accountant so end of company year can go off to him.
It is a gorgeous day, I think the issue with doing the garden work is that WattyDog has to stay in and I miss him being out with me. Goodness know it is hard to get anything done with him around, always wanting me to throw a ball or a stone for him, or at this time of year an apple until he ate it but it is so quiet without his enthusiasm and joy and he clearly feels put out at enforced rest while I am outside.
I think I might settle on the office stuff and do some weeding whilst WattyDog has a stuffed kong. That way I dont feel so bad leaving him inside whilst the sun shines.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

stinky says to tell WattyDog that it's too hot for dogs to be outside here. He's lying on the kitchen floor recovering from watching me mowing.8

Sounds like a very productive day coming, Watty.5
