As for blood tests, I did have thyroid checked and am going to email the results to the private doctor who prescribes my HRT   I know I could get on the NHS but a male GP refused to prescribe because he did "not believe in it"   I was so incensed I marched out, interviewed google and sought a private clinic that specialises.  The surgery has since apologised to me for their behaviour, reviewed my prescription and said it was actually a vast improvement on the NHS options and if I could afford it to continue with the private one, but, if I wanted to save money, they would prescribe.
I think I've said this before but if you get to wanting to move areas and are trying to choose which one, let the deciding factor be a GPs with good reviews who are taking on new patients.
In the meantime I am incandescent with rage to read this. May the symptoms of the lack of all the medical treatments that will never affect him that he doesn't believe in be inflicted upon him until he learns the error of his nasty ways

This is bringing back memories of over 60 years ago when a friend, obviously heading for uni which back then was rare, was aged 16 told that her really bad period pains would disappear once she had a baby.  6 years later at 22 I went on the pill but only because I was engaged & nearly married as in date set, otherwise no.

My extremely fit sister was still on HRT at 70 although her doctor made her change to patches.  Mine made me come off at 67, after which is when the arthritis started
