I did some research online and was concerned that wall/ceiling paint would not be hard wearing enough and didn't want to use a gloss paint (which would have been) so we went for this option.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Thank you all for the lovely comments on the furniture make over.
The room has such a lovely energy and feel now perhaps because it has been created in an MSE way and with love rather than the 'functional' way it was put together in the past. (Not in the photo is a large wall mirror that was £5 in the charity shop, the bed frame was £75 from market place)

Rang WattyDog neurologist yesterday and once again no call back. Getting fed up with this. Rang the vet that referred us, receptionist on phone so kind, helpful, understanding and the vet called me back was on the phone for 20 mins and assured me the referral vets were just busy (ahem, I stick by my declining surgery means he has lost interest) but prescribed a new course of meds without seeing WattyDog so all good. Picked those up yesterday then nipped to Dunelm to see if they still do the curtains that I used on the stairwell as I couldn't remember name or colour - and yes they do. Now I have that I can think about what to do with the remaining two windows. I was going to leave them without anything, but, as we finish more and more here, they look as if they should "have something" so I have a budget plan in mind. Will research.
Also needle collected from vet for CC cartrophen jab (a joint lubricant that is prescribed and I can inject to save paying vet) and dropped off accounts for year end to accountant.
All this made dinner very late so picked up the set meal option from a takeway that was on the way home. Not the best start to an economical September, but, lots of things ticked off that needed doing.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
