Aw thanks lady, I wish I had done biology when I was younger, might have gone into chiropractic or other body related profession rather than sit at a desk for 30years. I found the training so interesting, so better late than never I suppose! Im always happy to spread knowledge around if it can help folks with their animals

Kajikita, sorry, I haven't been trained in human but I now think it could have been more interesting than pushing paper, the square hole to my proverbial round peg for 30 years. When I shook off the civil service dust from my toes I qualified and worked in canine massage for a few years (best job in the world btw). Through studying canine bodies, how they move, how they work, how they heal etc its all transferable to humans and, of course, other animals. I now find myself watching how humans move and find it all very interesting. At school I had no interest in biology. The path untaken....

Wotcha Watty! I've finally finished reading your previous diary and was happy to see the link to this one. I had a phase of just not being able to keep up with many other diaries. I'm so so pleased 2023 ended how it did for you. And I'm looking forward to reading the 25 pages you've already got in this diary! But not tonight cos it's 10pm and that's quite late enough for me!Lotsa love, apple ♥️NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!6

We saw 'Super Vet' Dr Noel Fitzpatrick about 18 months ago talking on stage about the need to integrate animal and human medicine. One Medicine he calls it. Very thought provoking.

Thanks watty, I never want to derail the chat but I cant help myself when I feel I can help
Slinky yes, there's an odd way of looking at things when some things have to be tested on animals and its taken as sacrosanct that itstgen fit for humans. Other times they won't accept evidence that it works on animals. Huh? The world is an odd place indeed

Feel free to derail, fascinating and I've now been watching WattyDog and the horses in a different way and so interesting (to the point I've signed up for a course on muscle fitness in horses; Only a simple 3 x 3 hour lectures but really interested in it later this month).

In other news it has been a very dismal rainy day today so I made a loaf of bread, the first in my new bread maker (thank you again @LadyWithAPlan) and cleared out the cupboard that I store tins and so on in.
Clearing the cupboard was interesting, lots of opened bags of oats, 3 opened bags of rice, 14 tins of sardines and something like 15 tins of bins along with a lot of other items. I am very mindful of a thread I have been reading on here (fashion on the ration) and need to learn that I will not be without food. Even during the panic buying of the pandemic it was really ok. Reading/posting on the no new toiletries thread has helped me use up what I have, repurpose stuff and donate. I now need to do the same with the food cupboard. I seem to have lapsed into a disorganised hording so I've made a few meal ideas up that will use the tins and soya mince up and am going to try overnight oats. I always think I will make porridge but mornings with dog, 3 horses and the need to get to work always seem a rush so overnight oats going in the fridge now.
