I used to love marmite. But now, it would be choosing to give myself severe food poisoning. An easy one to avoid!

Yes i get that. I'm not gluten intolerant. I think I was swayed by wanting more energy and the podcasts I was listening to.
The reality is I'm exhausted by the last few years. Nearly everything i eat is now food I make at home and so I've taken all the pre-packaged foods out of my diet other than for 2 evenings this year. That hasn't helped with the energy. I'm not sure that for me there is a "food fix" but I am just waiting for summer. Some sunshine and fun with the horses will help the next part of recovery for me I am sure.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

It has poured with rain all day and my goodness it is gloomy. The ex rang to ask my advice on something. This is the second time in the last 3 weeks. The conversations have both been pleasant and so I fall into the trap of thinking he was not so bad after all. Then he spoke about working part time and I looked at my desk covered in work and I thought, somewhat sarcastically, well isn't he lucky he can afford that. I then cut the phone call as short as I could. I know I won't tell anyone in real life this is the second time he has called.
I am now reminding myself I am ok, I have paid the vets bills, Most Handsome is recovering, WattyDog clearly only had a pulled muscle and is fine and I have enough money to pay my bills next month. I'm doing this on my own and I'm dong really well. Some days it feels hard going though.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

It would appear that Ex is still very manipulative ...... flattering you by asking for your advice, whilst making sure that the worm doesn't wriggle too far off the hook. Didn't you have an injunction on him? Time to block his calls maybe?
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

We are all cynical but I have a feeling we have a right to be, based completely on his past behaviour. Dont be fooled into chatty conversations with him. Theres maybe a reason he's trying to get you talking - information he's trying to elicit, either for his own amusement or nefarious purposes. This man is not your friend. He deliberately and knowingly and to your face shafted you out of money, belongings, peace of mind, the future you thought you were both working towards.... I don't need to go on.
Some days it IS hard. You are doing really well, ploughing your own furrow with the support of your friends, please dont let feeling a little down or flat allow him a foot back in the door. Write a sign beside the phone and the door to remind you lol. THIS MAN IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. Please keep him at at least at arms length if you don't want to block him.

I have blocked my ex on my phone and all social media. And changed job and moved house. You might not want to do the latter two but the first ones are worth doing.6
