My grandfather was a GP, and an author. His prescription for health was "An apple a day, eaton on the back of a horse, while watching the sun rise." And it was something he tried to do as often as he could.
I'm quite fond of sunrises myself, and as the cats and dog like early mornings, I've seen more recently than I have for a while.
I cannot tell you how much that prescription made me smile. I will be trying that out this year. Thank you @greenbee (I'm counting it as a birthday gift as I love it so much)Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Todays gratitude was "the best thing that's ever happened to you" and I've had a lovely day thinking about things, it really is great for lifting my mood. I've thought about all sorts of lovely things, and finally decided "the best" was my decision to purchase first horse because from him came so much more. I competed him at county level, he was the reason the cottage was bought, he was the reason I took my first development course, through him came so many friends and really the life I have now. So the best was meeting him but there were so many fabulous memories that came up mulling that over that actually I'm really grateful I have the practice to play with this month
In MSE terms I bought a friend breakfast, had a lovely chat with her and discussed possible plans for Boxing Day and concluded her husband's idea was really expensive, fun, but very expensive. We are both thinking it over.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Oh crumbs - Boxing Day already?
But if the plan is something that appeals to you, and you can put the funds aside, why not?

Today's gratitude is "your greatest achievements". Only 5 days in but this has really helped lift my mood, that, along with warmer weather and the sunshine. I've also been so mindful of eating properly, reducing wine intake, journaling and meditating and am also trying to sort out physical health issues and I think it is paying off. The VNM asked if I thought counselling would help but I have realised putting the effort in on a daily basis is doing more at the moment than paying someone once a week.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
