My birthday gift and dinner was wonderful.   Dinner on an old steam train, 1920s Pullman carriage, armchairs to sit in, table beautifully laid out and wonderful dinner:  soup, then small course, sorbet, main course, cheese and biscuits, sweet trolley, coffee and mints.   I concluded yesterday evening in the glamour of the train I was born in the wrong era (upstairs being more me than down LOL)

We had such a great time, we would go again.  Very late home and shattered this morning but I have just had the best birthday time, I've managed to string the celebrations out, and finished today with my usual Sunday ride on CC and gossip with neighbour and then coffee and the last of the birthday cake.

This sounds fabulous!!  Glad you had such fun
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Back at my desk on Monday morning. My work emails do not work at all, the button to access them has vanished. I will call the support  chap in a bit and see if he can fix it.   I feel I am working at the very edge of my capabilities with tech much of the time these days.   Really frustrating as i had a lot to do today but no email is going to make doing anything really hard.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Hope the tech issue is quickly and easily sortable and the rest of your day goes well.

@greent @Watty1 thank you for those pics! I've screenshot them all and will do one at a time..I always do my ten gratitudes for the day as I am drifting off to sleep, I find my sleep is not restless then as I drift off to good happy thoughts even if the day wasn't great. But these would be a good way to mix it up!
Watty I feel like the universe is saying go outside and ground yourself/ take in some nature instead of doing emails 😉 then it will probably mysteriously work when the time is right.

I'm convinced we all need to build in R&R. I feel a lot better for reducing my hours, though it doesn't pay much! While I can get by, I'm happier this way.
