Your gratitude prompts and recalling kindness are so great Watty. I'm going to look for some prompts too. Thanks for sharing the idea!Save £20,000 in 2025. April 2k, May 3.5k2

@daisy_1571 what a great explanation, and, no, no-one has mentioned lots of water so thank you for the tip but also the explanation. Really wise.
@earthgirl and @Cherryfudge thanks. The being kind has resonated with me too. Last night I went for an early birthday celebration with two girl friends and neither turned up. i could have felt sad but I decided to wish them well, sympathise with their reasons and then order a lovely glass of sparkling white wine for me and just enjoy my evening. I ended up having a lovely chat with a hotel guest who was on his own. We sat on the sofa's and nattered until the VNM joined us. Such a great evening from being effectively let down. They way I saw it was that it was a gift to have a few hours on the sofa in a country house hotel, that I could afford a lovely glass of wine and to just enjoy. As a result nice evening

That's a really good take on an unexpected evening. Perhaps you brightened the evening for the hotel guest as well.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Today's gratitude prompt was to list any things you have that the majority of people don't.
Hmmm.. possibly a long list given the 3 horses, WattyDog a semi feral cat and a joyous relationship. I'm also adding pink rosette badge that reads "its my birthday" that I am wearing. The VNM gave it to me this morning with my card and a cake. We have taken Charming Cob to the local forest and I enjoyed a happy hour riding CC around. CC was most assertive about his choice of paths which made me smile. He tripped a few times so I know retirement is coming but for my birthday we happily walked around the forest with joy. The sun shone. I took a flask and made a coffee when I got back to the horse box and sat on the grass and drank that whilst CC grazed and the VNM joined us from the lorry where he had been watching videos. I feel I am indeed blessed by life.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
