Yes @Watty1 I agree. Terribly sad. I think that was one of the things that helped me realise-albeit years later- the importance of living in the real world while still having dreams and working to make the world a better place. Just because you can't do everything doesn't mean you shouldn't do anything. Love Humdinger xx5

I hope you are less achy and the acupuncture is relaxing. Hope the shoes work - horses make my teenagers trainer habit look more frugal anyway!Save £20,000 in 2025. April 2k, May 3.5k7

Way more achy and have a headache now. Acupuncture is Monday.
Felt so exhausted yesterday I let the side down and bought one of those meal boxes. Half my grocery budget blown on 5 days of dinner in a box from M Chef - and - I didn't notice until check out it wont be delivered until Sunday so I still have to go shopping or cope with the village shop and an imagination that has left the building until then.
Ah well, busy day at work so better make a start.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

This has really dragged on hasn't it? I hope things turn round very soon for you but in the meantime I think the meal box is justified. Shame it won't arrive for a few days, but you can look forward to it.
Meal suggestions in the meantime: beans and cheese on toast; chicken, tin of ratatouille and baked potato; fish and chips with peas. Those might not take a lot of brain power or preparation.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

You definitely haven't let the side down Watty, you are working so hard even when you are ill. Hope you feel much better soon. Pasta and sauce, beans on toast etc cheap and easy. Take care!Save £20,000 in 2025. April 2k, May 3.5k4

Jacket potato is my go to when I'm fed up of cooking, sick or last minute thing. Nice and easy and no fuss and can use whatever toppings you have available.Emergency Fund goal - £1000/2000

Thank you for cheer leading and the easy meals suggestions. Much appreciated. Had to go to the doctors and also to an ATM for the 5th time for the business card which stopped working. The good news is the new bank card and the new pin number combination worked so finally and after 5 trips and many calls to the bank the business once again has a card that works. This all took much longer than expected and feeling very tired I called in at the village fish and chip shop for a child's portion of same for dinner. Came in to find WattyDog had been sick, three times, in three places. I have a tiled floor but being a sensible dog he had thrown up over a standard lamp and his bed. On the bright side he avoided the rug.
In financial news, another small sum popped in pension pot to finish this tax year off. I've checked my income and think it is low enough to clear up an error I made last tax year that we had to carry into this year so I'm done on the income front until the end of the tax year.

Well done on getting all that done.
Poor WattyDog, though slightly impressed he managed to involve a lamp too 😂
No justification ever needed for a chippie tea in my book, but definitely justified after sorting that palaver!https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase/p1
