    I like how you've approached your decision and the idea of drawing your network. I think you are wise to value your existing network.

    I now recognise the people in the chemist, post office, at my art group and my closest neighbours. I moved a year ago but still haven't made 'friends' locally although I have contacts. Thankfully I have work social and friendships there - and am close enough to where I lived before to see a couple of friends from 'before' I moved. It is difficult when you work full time and are introverted to break into new social groups. I'm hoping my art group will help over time - and meanwhile my counsellor helps fill some of that social gap. I may go to SW again soon locally - as I travel to the art group but SW would be local so if I met people there - that might work...

    @Watty1 this may not be helpful but we have poles on our field and they paid £1600 lump sum for them, to be renewed when/if the house changes hands.
