"poo poo head" so made me laugh.
I think the concept of looking backwards was a good shout, if in the early days he had been removing £100 to £150 a week in cash from a joint account I would have immediately questioned it but the sums built up so by the time I questioned it and was given the answer that he used it for food and the suggestion that he was had in one year removed in excess of £6000 for snacks so we should look at that was meant with sulks about the horses and their cost. I never did find out what he had done with the money - paid his legal bills I suppose as I later worked out he had snaffled a huge sum for personal use. Hey ho. What is done is done.
Re the tractor lights parade I like the plans put forward here, however, another friend has asked me to go to a carols in another village event with a meal in the pub afterwards so I have lots of options. I don't feel like I did at the County Shows. Instead it feels more balanced. I have options. It will be dark. It will be fleeting. I may not even go.
As time passes my new life builds. I often say to myself "this too will pass" and look at my vision board which has the line "plan create and live the life you love" across the middle. .Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In other news the posh dressage trainer was here for a neighbour and I asked if she could fit me and MH in. I explained that we had done very little for weeks and his saddle is slipping and I was happy to pay even if we only did 10 mins but I thought it would kick start me into riding Most Handsome.
I had 45 mins in which I laughed so much. MH was at his most hilarious. He simply did not do as I asked but just kept repeating the previous exercises as clearly they were what was required. Even the trainer was laughing as she could see I was giving very clear instruction but Most Handsome was either doing a previous exercise or something he considered a better option (his rein back - stepping backwards - is excellent although i haven't asked for that in maybe 5 years LOL I asked once in the lesson, was surprised I got it, and then he just kept doing it which was so funny).
At the end I thanked her, paid her and said that she was probably way better than any therapy session as I had just had so much fun.
Charming Cob spent 10 mins going over poles. He has a three month plan and then I will decide if he would be better retired.
The neighbour came in and demonstrated just how flash her horse really is, and i admired but have no angst about her progressing so well using my arena and equipment. She is genuinely nice so it was lovely to watch.
Right - must dash, last min prep for todays course session.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Your dressage session sounds hilarious! All your horses come across as such characters. Perhaps Most Handsome is just waiting for you to cotton on how brilliant he is and heap on the praise.
It would be lovely if CC is fit enough to go on working after three months but whichever way it goes, you will go on enjoying him for who he is and in the meantime, a little gentle work is good for us all.
And it's nice you are able to offer support to your neighbour and her super horse, and thus make a bit of a contribution to another horse achieving well. I expect she's not running a business and renovating a house as well as caring for three horses, so she gets more time to put into hers, but it must make you want to be in the saddle when you need to be at your desk. Still, being at the desk means you can pay for the needs of your three (and WattyDog). How is the Fell doing with the new rider?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Exactly @Cherryfudge Lovely neighbour has a wealthy husband and no need to sit at a desk (smile). Fellpony is doing so well with his rider. She hasn't been here very much recently as she is in the process of moving house (still will be very close to us though) but she recently had a lesson with someone and they fairly flew around the arena. Fellpony and her are a lovely combination.

Course is finished. So, I underestimated the amount of work and how tiring it would be, but, I learned lots about doing the course and will do another in January. I need to design a feedback form and send that out so that i can gain proper feedback but the feedback today seemed very positive.
It ended up being fun despite the hard work and profitable. I will rejig the lectures slightly, adding another, and taking material from two that ran over time to make up the extra one as that will make the lessons flow better. I find myself really looking forwards to getting the feedback and deciding how the final version will look
And - I have bought myself a mini bottle of wine to celebrate with. The wood burner is lit, the candles will be lit, dinner is in the oven and I'm celebrating that I have done this.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

What a thoroughly lovely evening that sounds, and very well deserved4

Brilliantly done on the course, there are always bound to be lessons to learn from it (you might get it spot on first time, but the world keeps turning and needs change) but you do seem to have a knack for it.
Enjoy your evening!
