That phrase took a while to get into mine but it is there now!
I think i may be eating better since starting to clear the cupboards too. Today a slow cooker stew of beans tomatoes and chorizo is on and a banana bread is being made to use up some bananas (rest frozen as I add half to breakfast daily) but this finished off one of the jars of coconut oil and made a dent in the 1 of 3 jars of maple syrup plus used up some of the flour. The chestnut flour biscuits were so wonderful that chestnut flour may become a cupboard staple but first to use up the many other flours
Two meals for two have made it to the freezer, not as much as I hoped simply because I just reheated and ate my way through what I had made but I enjoyed them.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

@Suffolk_lass yes you definitely changed my view of my freezer and cupboards !I am also In an eat down of the freezer so I can buy more frozen veg as I seem to be not getting thru all the fresh. On the bengal I had two who were incredibly cuddly and lovely . One was literally like a dog waiting at the front door as I came in and he even growled at the doctor once and sat between us on a home visit !!
Whenever I was sat one cat or two was sat on my lap.It was only an issue in the morning as being on the loo seat with two cats jumping on my lap wanting fuss could be painful !I can’t have a cat in my flat or I would be tempted
the chestnut flour recipes sound great.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

No idea where the Chestnut flour came from but I did check my Ocado history out of interest and I bought it there! I used spelt flour to make the banana bread. Again I have no recollection of buying or using that before but half of the bag was missing so I must have!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

My sympathies on the cat. My cat has a definite preference for being outside half the time. He doesn't like things in his face so rarely uses a flap even if it's available. I'm convinced he has another home though as sometimes he comes in out of the rain and is very dry and warm.
Sorry VNM's Mum has dementia but it is good she wasn't just being overly manipulative. Hopefully she can get some regular help at home. Safety first - is there any gas in the property? If there is you may want to swap it out for electric to reduce the risk of her leaving the gas on unlit. Is she getting help from the Reablement team locally? Is there any Dementia Support available via the local council?
Sorry CC was unhappy. Hope you find a solution. It does sound out of character.

Poor Anniecat.
You can freeze bananas in their skins, you peel them when they are part defrosted. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I wonder if the flours arrived during lockdown? The run on flour led to me getting far more buckwheat flour than I desired - computer just substituted one flour for the next available in list, despite it definitely not being usable in the same way!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

No idea when the flours arrived but a girl does not need that many in the cupboard surely. The banana bread with spelt flour is delicious and feels like a real treat. I have frozen half although I'm not sure how long the other half will last as the VNM looked in the tin yesterday, had a slice and then politely asked exactly how much of it he could eat
He helps so much that it is a joy to be able to gift back small food treats he is enjoying. Yesterday he moved back the really heavy oak bookcase that is in one of the bedrooms so I can now sort the books and refill the shelves.
Launched my trial version of the course to a small selection of people and have had 8 sign ups so far. After paying all taxes and platform costs and so on that will leave me with £796 profit. If i get another 8 I will have hit the amount I had hoped for. Then I can trial the course and then launch properly. I feel accomplished getting this off the ground. I have really struggled with my confidence and feeling I do not know enough and so on and I have pushed through that to get this up and running.
I am now going to look over my goal list for the year and pick another one to chip away at in tiny steps. I'm still doing house stuff of course and working but if there is something I could do in a tiny way towards one of the others I will.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
