Scan done and full marks to the radiographer.
It is possible symptoms are a result of the infection but I need to wait for a call from the hospital to confirm. Radiographer was so reassuring though, that cheered me up. Prescription drug still not arrived at GP Surgery so popped into village pharmacy and they have it in stock but it seems too difficult to get the prescription sent there even though I could walk between the two in 5 mins! Pharmacy suggested something to try until prescription arrives as a sort of 'self help' try taking this (they do a great line in vitamins and herbs as an 'upsell' I think) so £12 spent and I feel I am doing something at least. Must not complain about doctors as at least he did the test and found the infection which was a good guess on his part.
Now just wait for the hospital to get back in touch.

In other news, selling a course to start in February not a great plan, people are still suffering the after effects of Christmas (not everyone is like us on the boards) and starting on half term again not ideal as people are busy.
Didn't think of either points but mentioning here in case anyone reading is thinking of trying this method of earning extra £££. However sales did reach sufficient for me to happily pop something into pension plan today. All in all a very good day.

It's good to hear you are getting thorough and professional checks. How long do you have to wait to hear from the hospital?
And selling enough course places to boost the pension is great. Round here, February half term varies between schools, so it's not easy to avoid it altogether if you want to plan something to start around now.

Thanks Beanielou and Cherryfudge. I should hear back from the hospital in a couple of weeks if deemed urgent but six weeks if deemed not so urgent and that appointment will discuss next steps. I do however feel reassured after the radiologists comments. I know he is not the doctor in charge as it were but he sees a lot of scans and so I am putting some weight on his comments.
Course begins today and there were a couple more sign ups overnight so that will be used to boost pension funds a little more. Having put ALL my savings into the cash ISA I know I can withdraw it, but that also feels very positive because I feel that I am planning for the "long term" now rather than the making ends meet and keeping the horses, dog and I housed and fed.
Mentally I also feel so much stronger. Still not choosing to go out much but I can work on that over the rest of the year. Having to push on and work does help with that but also thinking about a future helps too.

I was like you after my scan - reassured by her comments that the reason was unchanged - but she also drew attention to the other thing there. That research has stood me in good stead and my normal sleepless nights with worry have abated. Just the car and the solar left this month then! I won't dominate your diary with our issues though!

In thinking of the future I found this - now I know I would need to add stables and barns for VNM and that will put it over budget but a girl can dream
Porlock is very special to me as many years ago I was there on a business trip and driving my (inappropriate for the roads) company car down a 1:4 hill I pulled in and admired the view and decided I would love to ride across that area. I had not ridden in years, but, the following week I found a local stables and started riding again and you all know that ended up with me here!

We like Porlock - we used to go camping there when the kids were young. Always so chilled there. I wouldnt want to take our motorhome to where we camped, though 😁

That is stunning. I noticed the bottom of the kitchen cabinets in picture 18 (by the sink) look as though water has been there at some point. I'm always a bit cautious about nearby water and flooding, especially when a property is near the bottom of a hill and the stream is closer at the top. If it breaches the banks of the stream the water would run down the lane to the house. Whoever buys it needs to look carefully for landscape evidence or this and consider flood defences

That's rather gorgeous, isn't it! From some of the photos, I'd say it's been on the market since last summer, but I love the way it sits in the land, as it were, and that moody grey beach is calling my name! Nothing against the log stove and sloping ceilings, either (though come to think it it, we have those here).
