Poor Stinky if no one wants to play
It is so much easier to just enjoy the animals. CC would carry me bravely through the underworld if no pigs were involved 🤣. I thought I would have to say goodbye to WattyDog last year. I’m sure they could all behave but that might be exhausting to achieve

As long as your animals behave how you need them, and don't cause issues for others, then being perfect isn't important. People keep expecting Stinky to sit and wait when they throw things for him because he's a lab. But he's not a working dog, and balls are for playing with. If I was training him to retrieve, I'd keep him disciplined with dummies, but let him have fun with balls - he's bright enough to know the difference.
He has been so good today given how much time he's been left on his own. He hasn't been pestering me to go out this evening (in fact, I only remembered at 9.30 that he hadn't been out since he had supper!). He's now sad because I washed his feet (again) and put paw balm on. I'm just waiting another half hour or so to clean his toe with hibiscrub and spray it with steroid spray before putting him (and the cats, and myself) to bed.
We've actually all been in the same room (or close to it) all evening, which hasn't happened for a while, which has been nice. Stripey cat is currently having a bath on a chair just next to where Stinky is lying sadly on his blanket…

Hope you’re feeling a bit better today.
Is there any chance someone locally could take Stinky for a nice loooong walk when you have crashes?

He's outside with his lead waiting for you… 🤣 Can you drop him off to play with WattyDog when you're done?
He's fine, he can have several slow, short walks and enjoy sniffing instead, which uses his brain. I'm not using the dog walker at the moment due to issues with injuries while at daycare (she's in her 70s, hasn't been well, and I suspect isn't really controlling the dogs properly, particularly the bigger ones, but just letting them rush around doing their own thing) which is annoying, is this is the situation I need them for. So clearly need to look for another one. If necessary I can get my mum to take him, but it's a lot of work for her (she's in her 80s!).

WattyDog is waiting. Please pack snacks (the venison sounds good!)
Off out with neighbour on her horse this morning, if it stays dry will do a bit of weeding and walk the fence line in the fields as it seems quite a lot is damaged and I need to work out how much so I can get the chap that rebuilt the walk back to repair it. I possibly have enough poles and posts but before the spring proper I need to repair one field for certain so it can be used. Means buying lime and getting on with that too but it is possible the fencer might have something to spread the lime with (usual farmer's kit is all way too big) so that is the plan for the day.
Also should really progress work project - so - if it rains that is alternative plan for the day.

Awwww … that would be so lovely … 😉 I’d be happy to take Stinky anywhere, he sounds like a lovely chap ❤️
Tbh, I think finding another dog walker would be worth the effort. Your current one doesn’t sound up to it … Might Stinky’s vet practice have some ideas?

Nice ride - we met "you know better than that" who clearly still does not as said dog ran at us both. Charming Cob does not mind but neighbours horse panics. As there was a car behind I suggested she trot to the next gateway so we did not have to talk to "you know better than that" owner - I also got my usual fit of giggles when the man yelled that at his dog because the dog so clearly does not.
Charming Cob wisely did not trot - he covers a lot of ground in the trot and neighbours horse always wants to canter to keep up. I worry car drivers may think we are not making an effort but CC does walk quicker than usual which he thinks counts as he keeps up with his mate who did indeed trot rapidly into the gateway.
Back and astonished Greying gets any drying done as once again the rain started. As a result, I have now new solicitor approved terms and conditions for business. Did send solicitor an email to point out they were not drafted in line with my requirements and had taken months to send instead of the timeframe agreed. Am irritated. Will have to pay the bill anyway but felt better for writing email putting across my point of view and saying I had lost the will to live after reading 20 pages of legal text in 4 separate files when the brief was clearly one document - and - she had totally missed the point I do not have an "in house legal team" to run certain bits by nor an "inhouse IT team" to run other bits by. Heck why would I pay her if I had all these experts in house?
I tried really hard to find a small legal company to do the work but failed so used a company I had used for business before but this will be the last time. The bill will be high for what she randomly generated.
Also have meditated, watched a bit of TV and played ball with WattyDog. Playing ball so good for the heart, he was shaking with excitement when - teamwork - we retrieved a favourite but long lost ball from under the lorry.
No spend day and good for business.

Very tedious and annoying re the solicitor, wonder if it was an AI generated set of T&Cs?
