so I have been busy this week. For the community club Christmas Fair I have asked people to knit elves. We started in June, aiming to get 50 by November 23rd. One lady offered to knit but does not like sewing up so this week I am working on that and adding hair and facial features. I put off the job for ages but have enjoyed doing them so much. 12 done and she is k itting more bless her. I have used all donated stuff so there has been no cost.i have also stencilled "the elf made me do it sign. We have 41 elves so I am over the moon.

The elves are brilliant!
I havent done much crafting recently, but I have made a good start in getting rid of some excess crafting stuff. I have enjoyed doing some cross stitch this year, and will continue with it, for Christmas decorations etc, but I am clear that I don't want any more embroidery on the wall, so I have sold quite a few cross stitch kits on ebay, and I feel much better for it!2025 craft items finished 11/12

Finally getting to Christmas makes. Lots of fabric bottle and gift bags. And some small wreaths with some forms I found.

craft group have been busy again. We had a lovely time making these angels today. I have had to order more bead heads! Several ladies have learned to crochet through making these. So pleased with them. Also gnomes, all for the Christmas trees.

Ladies, does anyone know where I can find knitting patterns for Angels? Has to be knitting, I'm afraid, as I just can't grasp crochet - my fingers curl up and cramp!A friend wants some knitted Angels, including as a design on a sweater, but my search for patterns has thus far drawn a blank. Thought I'd cracked it, until I realised they were the creepy killer angels from Dr Who.......Thank you all !2

Have you tried Ravelry or ‘Angels of hope Exeter cathedral (free pattern) - I am assuming 3D or for flat - onto a sweater - you can use cross stitch graphs to guide you - hope this helps4

I have just knitted 3 pairs of mittens for my Shoe boxes- urgent as I delivered them to the area collector on Tueday!I hadn't realised I was short......of course the worst bit is the sewing up and I had another 2 pairs knitted ( from last year) but again needed sewing- could not count them last year as incomplete. The sewing was especially finicky as I had done stripes to eke out the base colour so many more ends to sew in!
Also made drawstring bags for 2 jigsaws- boxes far too large with the limited space
6 lavender bags made and filled
So I can add all those to my made list as well as the items from August so my total should look healthier especially as the year is racing past........
Taken ages to update signature- tooooo many words!
Spending lately: 100 plastic rings, assortment of stamps & punches and hot air gun from charity shops (£14 ) several balls of yarn, mainly for the angels, gold & silver pensBeing polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
