Harood the hedgehog done! Some material and lots of thread used up. Plus 3 buttons. Doesn't make a big dent lol. Might make 2 large bags to carry/store them in
Lessc like a womble now. Lots of darts were needed in the waistcoat (along with a large insert in the back) to make it fit his rather hedgehoggy shape 😆

@daisy_1571, he’s looking a lot happier 😊
There’s actually some fairly fundamental, 3D, engineering thinking needed for jobs like this … 🤔😊

Reporting in- mojo comes in fits and starts this year, and conveniently reappeared for bank holiday weekend. I have made a fabric pumpkin, 6 scrunchies, a much needed needlecase, a t shirt for my son, and a dress for my friends baby (born 6 months ago 😬). The dress fabric had a lot more fabric than it suggested left over, so I've made a t shirt (just needs cuffs) and will make a matching set of joggers too. I've also cut out a pair of dungarees for my son.
I've got more scrunchies and pumpkins to doo when I can face the hand sewing- i've got a craft fair in october and enough time to do them all before then if I do it steadily. Now at 91/200.

Those polystyrene beads are a ... pain! Years ago I remember making sag sacks which were filled with the beads and they went everywhere and clung to things too! thankful to have a vacuum cleaner.....
I have been away for 5 weeks & been busy crafting: 24 crochet angels, 73 cards , 6 spectacle cases, one veggie bag and a few more inches of the crochet knee blanket. Two bags of material came home untouched because I ran out of time. (But I take masses to do because I would go mad twiddling my thumbs.)
Now need to unpack the car, yesterday was a 39 hour day so still feeling... tired! can't think why
Just remembered someone in late July asked about how I make the doggy duvets.
My own dds are half singles but the ones I sell are quarters of all three sizes- so a 1/4 double is 100 x 100 cm.
I cut them, then sew up the 2 cut edges, some of it seamed inside, otherwise topstitched- no raw edges.
Covers are pillowcase style. If I use an existing duvet cover- cut into 4 & use the fastenings. Other 2 pieces have a tuck in as in pillowcase. If I am making a cover from scratch then it might be pieced (not exactly patchwork) with hopefully one side dark & therefore more practical. Decent deep tuck in so that duvet cannot drop out when the dog is 'making' his bed! (digging, turning, dragging with teeth......)
if I acquire one of those duvets with non-woven 'papery' covering that is torn I make a new outer with thin, pale sheeting
Hope that is explanatory enough.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

It has taken me 2 weeks to try and save 2 pairs of trousers. 2 nearly new polo shirts and a pair of shorts. The trousers had bkeach stains on them so had been relegated to housework ones. Tried dying them all with the new capsule machine dye. Followed instructions but they came out all blotchy. First time of using this method and first fail. I found i had some hand dye in the cupbaord but it was still navy and couldnt cover the damage done. So I decided that I now had nothing to lose. Found some of the old style dylon dye in black online. So fabric painted the bleach stains black. Let it dry and then dyed the lot in 2 seperate loads. Whilst wet it looks like I have covered all blotches. Once dry we will know for sure. Fingers crossed. Will update tomorrow. 😊craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

One thing you can try is to cover the bleach marks with a matching sharpie or permanent marker. I have also used acrylic paint on a garment that didn't matter- actually worked quite well but I used whatever it was (shorts?) for dog walking so not high fashion!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Thanks @katiehound. I borrowed a bit of fabric paint from craft group so no cost there. Seems to have done the trick. All of our comfy, go to clothes look like new. Saved us a bit on buying new even though I did spend £20.00on dye. Will complain about the new machone version and see if I can get a refund but doubtfulcraft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

@emsi_b, I love the wee dress – I want one too!
@Katiehound, your “24 crochet angels, 73 cards , 6 spectacle cases, one veggie bag and a few more inches of the crochet knee blanket,” had me singing along to the tune of the 12 days of Christmas! Thanks for that; I’ve been smiling to myself ever since.
@soontobeoap, you are persevering so well with rescuing those clothes, you deserve a good result! I’d have given up at the first setback! Good luck with getting a refund for the useless dye,
Surprise! It’s the first of September and I’m ready to post my August makes!

Is the crochet 'jacket' or whatever.. the shrug? Is it from a pattern? Please point me in the right direction.
Congratulations on all your makes especially the patience with the crochet blankets
I have just ordered some plastic rings online- just hope they are the right size. No more angels until I can get the heads sorted!!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
