Hello, it's many years since I've requested to join a challenge and I'm hoping I could join in here as I have 2 main hobbies which I need to destash. The first is buying stuff, papercraft, and the second, much smaller, is actually using it! 😳
My difficulty is, apart from very little self discipline on being tempted obviously, that no-one I know seems to actually likes or is interested in anything I make 🤷♀️ I make cards, no-one buys them or wants them, folios, books, etc. I'm also a very slow maker.
I'm fairly certain that I could commit to only buying actual essentials such as basic paper/card, glue etc after I've run through my current physical stock. I certainly have enough digital supplies - that's my main stash problem!
Any suggestions for finding an audience for anything I do make would be interesting. Thank you in advance, if I can join in this late.If you see me on here - shout at me to get off and go and get something useful done!!9 -
welcome any time ddraiggoch, it is difficult. If you need the money from the 8tems thats one issue. If you just want the enjoyment of making, then perhaps a local charity would want them for their counter or shop? Or they might want them all at once if they do a yearly fundraiser/jumble/table sale/ xmas fayre etc?

I was asked if I could alter some net curtains - not started them when asked if I could make covers for our local community shop - to hide the stock when other events take place in the hall. As there was a deadline - I worked on the covers first - awful fabric to work with - slippery and navy blue. Plus needed to be over 2 metres in length - I had to clear my craft table - not an easy job so I could lay out the fabric.
Now I have been asked to shorten jacket sleeves.

Lovely makes everyone.
I have done another lavender sachet. I quite like these as there are not too many colours and they don't take long....and they are something other than a picture! I think I have another 2 sachets, plus quite a few other small kits in this inherited stash. Good to see it going down at last.
@DdraigGoch welcome. I do sympathise. I like card making, and papercraft, but don't really have enough people to send them to. It was OK when my mum was alive as I made a lot for her to send, and she sent Easter cards, and notelets etc.

old_fogey - very pretty cross stitch sachet.
I finished the community shop shelf covers - they were collected this morning. I was sent photos - they fit well.

I shortened the sleeves on a lined jacket for a friend. The jacket is actually a light green.
Another friend asked me the best way to reattach a bobble onto her hat - I said - I will do it - so another task completed.
On to the net curtains next.

I’ve been refining my latest make for my craft shop. Holders for pens and glasses that clip onto a neck lanyard. Great when you don’t have pockets! Test ran mine at work today and it was good.
However the star if the show has got to be this fabric - how cute are the avocados!!12 -
Finally enjoying lots of crafting. I am busy using up left over diamond painting gems to make cards and pencil cases. I also tried my die cutting machine
for the first time to make some simple cards. Have also discovered double sided sticky back plastic which will make great stickers for kids and stick all of the intricate cut outs onto card.

I hope it's ok to jump in but I think this is the thread I need to join. I keep promising myself that I'll not buy anymore craft stuff and then of course, I do. I've tried lots of times to resist buying stuff but keep failing. This time I'm determined to work with what I've already got. I'm hoping that seeing the lovely items people here are making will encourage me. Today I managed to finish off a small cross-stitch so it's a small step in the right direction.GC Feb 25 - £225.54/£250 Mar £218.63/£2408
