@suzeesu2000 - love the colours - will be good to see how you blend them in the granny squares
. My cat loves paper straws though if they were plastic straws he would love them even more lol - he bats them round the house, picks them up and carries them around which is quite funny to watch. When the go under the fridge he sits their waiting for me to rescue it.

I've made 8 cards today all using supplies I have had for ages (in fact I think two of them were made with the very first card toppers I ever bought and if not they were very close to being) - they must be at least 15 years old
I thought these little cards would make nice thank you cards to go inside my orders
and these two were made from two sheets I originally put in a pile to sell and were at least 15 years old but I don't think they have come out too badly. It's amazing how black cardstock can make everything look quite good
My total now stands at 40/2024.
Hope you are all enjoying a weekend of crafting x

Hi @Auti.
I had a thought about your crochet purse and how you had a bit of a problem stabbing the hook through the fabric of the zip. What about doing a row of embroidery chain stitch onto the zip fabric and using that as the foundation chain?Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

@Katiehound - a good idea
I have started another and at moment making the hole with a bodkin and then quickly putting in the 1.0 gauge crochet hook in so will see how that goes then try your idea as that might be quicker

I had quite a productive weekend. I made 2 neck warmers from tartan wool and velvet that were an order. I also made a dog bed for my dog. I had been given lots of wool padding that are used to wrap around fresh cat food (as insulation to keep it cool) and I used that for the padding of the bed, then I used some jumbo cord fabric that I had originally made into a sofa cover but we no longer used. I'll send photos soon.Stash busting challenge 2025: 0/100 £0/£100 Fashion on the ration 2025: 0/6610

Pyramid pouches
This is the video that I found most helpful. Debbie Shore also has one but she puts (nice) fabric ends on her zip which is not practical if you are making loads.
The only difference is that I leave the open edge on the lining on the very last seam- the top edge. it just seemed easier rather than on first seam.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0JuJrLA_VY&t=180s
