You crochet a solid square but in a way that creates a little bag as you are crocheting. - I don’t yet know all the right terms so forgive me. Then you stuff the bag and join all together. Lady I saw was doing 3” square which meant she needed 18x18 (324) squares. I know they are small but that would drive me insane. Will probably do one but squares will be bigger.

Hello Ladies
New Year was a bit manic for us. FIL got rushed to hospital with a suspected bad cold (hes undergoing chemo) and it ended up being Sepsis from an infected pic line in his chest. Thankfully home now, finishing antibiotics before he can restart chemo again!
But we move, and we focus so I am on board for the crafting this year.
I purposely didn't ask for a Hobbycraft card for Christmas so I can try and use some of this stash.
Have used some of my wool to make my mother an ear warmer but its a bit big so might be a neck scarf instead since she already has an ear warmer. Daughter also used some wool to make a little white baby hat with a pink pom pom for her teacher who's leaving to have a baby so I have done some crafting.
But there is still a long way to go.
I have a box of wool to use.
I have a box of old clothes / material to use.
I have 3 dinosaurs to paint
I have a tray to paint
I have a house to decorate
I have a pumpkin to decorate.
I have the stone at the front of the house to decorate.
I have two balls of macrame string to use.
Plenty of cards to make
I was given a cross stitch for christmas I haven't taken out of the packet yet.
I have made and started a bullet journal.
A cricut that is gathering dust.
I am going to set myself a budget though of £50 this year. I think I have everything I need to make / finish the projects I have so that should cover me fine!

Almost finished. Just got a bit of edging to do round the neck. Not doing ribbing on sleeves as it’s comfy as it. Will only be worn indoors on cold days, heat me rather than putting the heating on. Just folded to photograph.will look better when edges are done, will do that Sunday.Sad thing is……my stash doesn’t seem to be shrinking.Might make some leg warmers as my poor old knees and ankles are suffering in the cold. Remember wearing them back in the 1970s. Think mine will be less colourful though.Have discovered a huge bag of lengths of yarn. Don’t know where they came from or what they’re for. Each length is approx 18” seems to be DK and is split between brown, red and a little bit of navy. Any ideas cos I’m stumped. Was thinking of weaving it into placemats maybe? Don’t know and would appreciate ideas please.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

@suzeesu2000 probably not the original idea, but plaited snowmen scarves? My lovely next door neighbour gave my son a little benecol(?) Bottle painted as a snowman with chocolates inside and a little hat and scarf, they might be good for similar snowman crafts.Make £2025 in 2025- £360.75/£2025

I am semi emerging from my nest- my craft room needs plastering and repainting, but otherwise new window in and sorted. Which is good, as I am desperate to hide in there and lose myself in some card making- we found out our dog had a brain tumour at the very start of the year. We were hoping he would be OK for a little while longer, but by Friday it was obvious he was very poorly and we had him put down at home yesterday. We are devastated, and losing myself in crafting is very appealing. The house, even with the building mess, has never been cleaner but I'd rather be crafting.
My husband has sat down this morning to paint his miniatures at his desk (his and hers desks in this house), so I have reviewed my notebook and decided to make myself a list of projects I'd like to get done. These are ones I already have the fabric and patterns for, so stash busters.
Without further ado:
- the living room french blind
- 2x cushions for the outside wooden chairs
- a needle case
- denim dungarees
- a green floaty top (can't remember the name of the pattern, but the fabric is a lovely sage green poplin)
- 4x pairs of PJs for my son in next size up
- 3x everyday t shirts for my son in next size up
- 2x Xmas t shirts for my son
And then anything else that gets done is a plus. There is a long list of projects, but those are my priorities. A mix of patterns I've made many times before and some new ones, and some clothing/house bits. And of course, lots of cards- plenty of Xmas ones as I am down to only a couple left over thanks to some very successful craft fairs before Christmas.

I've made two christmas cards this afternoon sat on the sofa. I was looking for something that was easy to do without my desk and half the gear I usually use, and found my little folder of iris folding patterns. I also handily had some greens and browns ready cut and folded (from a turtle I think...) so have made two christmas trees before running out of one of the 3 different colours. I've put them on cards and very pleased with them- think they will sell very well next Christmas as all my more rustic kraft cards sold incredibly well! I think they look very effective.Make £2025 in 2025- £360.75/£2025

Haven’t finished the edging and collar today as planned.Got to make myself a new needle case. The one I’m using is the one I made at school back in the dark ages when we did needlework. It’s a bit tatty. I have some felt so nice easy job.
shall I dare to admit I haven’t finished this comforter yet….please tell me why as I don’t understand. Sad me 😢Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal
