It’ll be three by the time I’ve gone back. It’s annual leave. But I don’t take time off.I’ve achieved 25 / 150 so far i am counting rows finished.I’ve started to fill a box with stuff to take to the scrap store when it reopens. I’m determined to de clutter as much as I can. I’m going to see if there are any others close by to get it out of the house quicker. The curtain pole need to be next
Wish I had the willpower to only focus on one crafty thing at a timeI’m up to 34 / 150 now.I’m back at work Monday which won’t help the total. But hopefully as of got so far that will
sour me on to continue with some more of it.

I have only done a tiny bit of embroidery whilst my room has been out of action. I remembered why I put it down the first time- the pencil markings are so faint I can't see what I'm supposed to be doing. I got a bit grumpy about it and then reminded myself it doesn't have to look identical, it just needs to look like a clump of flowers and some leaves. If the leaves are different shapes, it's fine! I also gave myself permission not to do the embroidery in the other corner, and to use my frixxion pens for drawing on any embroidery needed on Jemima Puddleduck. So a little bit more embroidery on the leaves next week and Peter is done. that will be my first make of the year, and a long standing UFO done. I am going to count each appliqued and embroidered block as a make for definite, but might group all the patchwork together as one.

@Florenceem - I used to make storysacks for the school I worked in - ended up with about 70 each of key stage 1 and 2. I found it great fun finding the books and making the games to go with it as well as the actual sacks
@suzeesu2000 - yes happy to be crafting buddiesI am hoping to finish my crystal art this weekend but have my child and all his clubs to go to and he has an idea to make a physical game so we are raiding the wood stash and crafty bits to see if we can make the idea in his head! If you watch Tipping Point on tv we have made the tipping point machine in wood during lockdown and it is still going strong (you have to manually move the slider bit with handles) It works well like the 2p machines in an arcade.

Florenceem said:I love seeing makes on here - my crafting friend passed a couple of years ago.
I planned to sew some aprons next but will be making 3 story sacks first.
I spent some money today - a shop had 6 x 6 embossing folders for £3 each - I only have a couple that size so bought three. I also bought fabric and some ribbon for the story book ties but Dd will be asked to pay for that with school funds.
I needed cotton tape for the planned aprons so picked that up too.
the embossing folders sound like a deal which could not be missed so well done and seeing that and grabbing them. I love my 6 x 6 embossing folders as it is such a useful size (especially if you do square cards like I make most of the time)
Cannot wait to see the story sacks made - I hope my daughter does not expect me to sew such things when she has qualified as a teacher - they would probably scare the kids with my sewing skillsMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.029 -
Katiehound said:Just to say that I have totted up my earnings from doggy duvets, bones and pyramid pouches and I have raised £520.22 in 2023 for the assistance charity 'Dogs for Good.'
I am fairly sure that is the most I have raised in one year and some of that money has to be from the pyramid pouches (for pooches.) Only 6 left from the original 100 (and only 3 given away rather than sold) Amazing how they took off, and that was from watching a YouTube video!

I'm not going to set a target but I know I put a dent in my stash last year. Ended up with a load of card making stuff which will help me as I need to think about earning extra cash as I am expecting redundancy at some point this year, so would be interested in how useful you find Etsy @craftingmad
Don't worry. I rarely remember to post photos so you are not alone
Glad to hear you managed to put a dent in your stash last year. Lets hope you can do the same again this year.
Sorry to hear that redundancy is looming. We have just been through it with my OH. It's never nice.
Etsy is a lot of hard work to get your listings right and seen amongst the sea of other things for sale but once you have nailed the photos, keywords etc then it can be very profitable. I make around £10k a year in sales (although in previous years it has been much more so I do think the platform is on the decline slightly).
I have a code you can use to get 40 free listings if you like so you can try it risk free as you will not pay out any money unless the items sell. Give me a shout if you want any help or advice on the platform - I'm no expert but do have 8 years of trading on it under my belt so know a little bit
Happy crafting x
I think after 8 years of trading you are most definitely an expert! X
You are a crafter so are resourceful and will be absolutely fine lovely. We all have your back.
Do you want to pop me over a message and I'll share the code and a few pearls of wisdom I have learnt with Etsy over the years?Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.029 -
Morning all.
Great to see so much progress and friendships being formed. You lot are very productive and put me to shame!
I have managed to make 5 friendship teabags, a set of mini seed packs (counting as 1 make) and a sewing planner all for Etsy orders so I'm now up to 32 makes out of 2024. Only another 1992 to go and I might start seeing a dent in my stash

I've made 11 cards whilst mums been working on her things. Some of the paper ive had since 2012, the cards ive probably had longer. Some are finished, some will need further finishing or personalised once I'm ready to use them. Back in 12 I was still working so although bought stuff, I didn't have enough time. Now ive finally got the time to play about which is lovely 😍. Heres some of the cards

Just a few smallmoddments that I am using for the last 12 multicolour granny squares. Been a busy day today as finally sorted airing cupboard and landing and then sat down with two bin bags and sorted all me yarn out. I’ve got some furry wool that I think I might make some snakes for Frankie cat with, he loves his toys.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal
