Morning all, My shoulder is still a bit sore but I will try to get through as much as I can today.
My list for today
Get dressed
Feed the animals
Paid stuff (10-1)
Go into town a meet with a friend for lunch
Fill out and submit my tax return
Sort out a budget for this month as it's going to be a tight one
Put dining table back through into the kitchen
Tidy up the kitchen as it is still a mess after the festive celebrations.
Put laundry from WM into DW, and add to the ironing pile once dry.
Defrost the freezer
Sort bags/clothes/lunches for tomorrow
Think that is everything that I need to tackle today, Hope everyone has a lovely Thursday.

Morning all
I’ve been fairly productive, although it has all been hampered by keeping fingers firmly in my ears, waiting for Round to do her singing turn 🤣.
Wm x 2 run and hung indoors, it is freezing outside, even if I felt the urge to hang damp washing out. Dw emptied. Ensuite cleaned. HHI. Bedroom, hall and landing dusted. I did the LR and DR when I took the decorations down earlier in the week. Mr M has been, smallish shop put away. We have to leave for the big city hospital just after lunch, so that will probably be the sum total of flying. I need to finish knitting DD’s scarf before she goes back, else it will just languish with other half done projects.
YL, you and me both suffer with imposter syndrome. No matter what I do, I can’t get past it. Like you, my bosses leave me to get on and decide my own priorities to a certain extent, which I guess is a sign of trust, however much I feel it is misguided and that I will get “found out”.9 -
DW and TD emptied. Compost and recycling taken out while it's dry; stepladder returned to shed, too.
Flowers from LR taken to compost bin and vase washed after I had washed sharp knives then pet dishes.
Kitchen S&S
Been to Morrisons for marmalade oranges and to top up tyres while it is fine and dry. 50p! *faints* And they've added a contactless payment system to the air pumps! *fans self as is shocked*Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Thinking of you all this afternoon, Fayolle, and hoping it goes well for your DD xxx
A bitty morning here:
- DH got up even later than usual (and has only just got dressed because it's nearly lunchtime)
- tried to do some online banking re a relatively new account, but I have too many passwords to remember and have forgotten this one- will try again shortly
- went to the chiropractor and decluttered ££ for the privilege of having him stick pins in me (but they have done wonders for my shoulder, so not really complaining, and it's all planned for, so moving onwards and upwards with no unnecessary/impulse spends in January)
- called at vets to pick up Rosie's flea and worm treatment (no additional charge as already covered under monthly plan)
- called at pharmacy to pick up med for both me and DH (no charge as we're considered old!) His weren't ready so I went out to drop off soft plastics at the C00p, then got chatting with a friend and forgot to go back to the pharmacy before coming home(told you I was old!)
- realised what I had done as soon as I walked in the front door, so went back immediately
- made coffee
sat down to do the online banking and thought I'd just catch up with the thread first.... fatal mistake!
Rosie needs a walk this afternoon. It's grey but not wet... like my hair!

Round, I'm sorry you're going through so much! It sounds like maybe they need to be screening for the big C. Fingers crossed it isn't though.
Kitchen has been my focus today, cleaned outside of cooker, deep cleaned surfaces, pink paste on the go inside the oven, cleaned inside bottom cupboards, skitrtings all done, hoovered downstairs. Also did a run to Mr T, recycling gotten rid of there, did groceries (my first time of walking and shopping bi-weekly now that Mr Flamingo works a 9-5 job rather than us doing it together once a week with the car)
Still to do today
- dust ornaments in kitchen
- date check ambient
- wipe top cupboard shelves
- clean kitchen door
- cleaning cycle on washing machine
- finish oven
- scrub floor
- mending pile needs stitching done
- make dinner
- put all my cards in my new (second hand but brand new without tags) C-ath K-idston purse that I've wanted for yearsMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Something very satisfying happened with my cleaning today. I haven't scrubbed the kitchen floor since about September time, I hoovered it and then brush-scrubbed with hot water and washing up liquid and a little zoflora. A few hairs and crumbs came up, but the water itself was clear!
goes to show the spray mop works great if you do it often enough, which I never used to!
Still to do today
- dust ornaments in kitchen Done
- date check ambient Done (teabags for Mr F to make decision on, and 2 half puts of peanut butter, in date but opened a while, I don't eat it)
- wipe top cupboard shelves Done
- clean kitchen door Done (a big car sponge made this easier than ever, will redo in future)
- cleaning cycle on washing machine Done
- finish oven Done
- scrub floor Done
- mending pile needs stitching done
- make dinner
- put all my cards in my new (second hand but brand new without tags) C-ath K-idston purse that I've wanted for years Done
Carried over:
- mending pile needs stitching
- make dinner

Hi all
Thank you COFG that was kind x. Not a bad day at the paid stuff today, solved a tricky problem and stood my ground against someone who was being difficult. Tired now.
Hope things are better with P now Round and it gets sorted.
Have done very little Flying but I am at home tomorrow so I will catch up. We are both fed and the kitchen is clean and tidy. Pj's on already, off to watch a bit of mindless telly.10 -
Evening all,
Another difficult day regarding weather and lungs but my GP did phone and says he doesn't think medication is appropriate just yet re my blood pressure as it's averaging out at about 150/90 and that the ECG I had just before Christmas is fine. He did comment that he was impressed with the Excel spreadsheet I had supplied with my BP monitoring as it was exceptionally easy to read!
However, going forward, I'm to monitor and record my BP once a week for a few months and look to book a face-to-face appointment sometime late spring to discuss again.
Flying-wise, it's been difficult again to do anything much because of the weather conditions today. Lots and lots of rain and It was dark enough by noon for me to put lights on. I did, however, make lunch and finished the drying of DD's washing that was on the maiden in front of the fire and folded it up ready for her to collect at the weekend.
I have also emptied the DW. Animals have been fed and am about to make cauliflower cheese with bacon for dinner. Then I'll wash up and crawl into my bed.
I really need a sunny day or two... my solar power batteries are running very low!
Hope you are all well...

@Cloth_of_Gold @Valli @Narc0lepsy thanks for the welcome and the guidance
@roundtuit incredibly stressful for you and your family. I sending you some ease and light your way. He needs to crack the code of how to advocate for himself. The magic words that will make the medical staff switch gears from doing the routine to being proactive.JingsMyBucket said:
I got through most of my tasks today. I skipped the toilets because I've been feeling dizzy all day and don't want to bend down more than necessary. My tasks for tomorrow:
- fold and put away clean sheets ✅
- wash and hang another load of laundry ✅
- clean toilets
- wipe down bathroom sinks ✅
Other tasks done today:
- dishwasher emptied
- living aerated;
- bed stripped and bed/room aerated
- new sheets back on the bed;
- living furniture rearranged by Mr. Jings this evening which caused a bunch of sweeping and mopping by him
- duvets and some sofa pillows are getting packed up for tomorrow so I can drop them off for washing.
I'm going to head to bed early to get some sleep. Hopefully that will help the dizziness but it's likely due to my pillow alignment anyway. This weekend I'll tackle the toilets, declutter the living room a bit more and wipe down the kitchen surfaces. I'm trying to do just 10 minutes at a time to avoid becoming overwhelmed.

Kitchen S&S
Been to Morrisons for marmalade oranges and to top up tyres while it is fine and dry. 50p! *faints* And they've added a contactless payment system to the air pumps! *fans self as is shocked*One of our friends makes marmalade very year and gives us a regular supply. He didn't make any last year though so I hope he's going to make more this year- it's so much nicer than any commercially produced marmalade I've tried.I didn't do much this morning, just popped out for the paper, made lunch and washed up, but this afternoon I took A to the hospital for a physio appointment and some blood tests. Both units were running on time so we were only there for just over an hour. We came back, had tea and Christmas cake, and later I made supper and washed up. Tomorrow, A's cousin, who lives in Stamford, is coming for lunch, so I'll have quite a bit to do, especially in the morning, making a casserole, preparing veg and making an Eve's pudding. The replacement slippers arrived and they're not too big but they're not especially comfortable. I'm just going to live with it though. When we got back from the hospital it had been raining for quite a while so I expected the bowl in the bathroom which is collecting the water coming in through the ceiling to have quite a bit in it but it was bone dry. Shortly afterwards though the water started to drip through again. The managing agent rang us whilst we were out to say that a roofer is coming tomorrow to have a look. Evidently the roofer who came and did something last week was doing some other repair, not sorting out our problem.
