came home, ironed and simmered marmalade oranges so the marmalade can be made tomorrow. Spend so far £2 for the oranges. The lemon was a freebie as it was at work and unused.knitting has gone well this week, front almost finished. haven’t read for a couple of days thoughDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Thank you Honey Bear8 -
Hope that is progress Roundtuit.
- re potted several conservatory plants so we are making progress in getting it tidier. Have decided that several duplicates/offspring will be put in the spare bedroom ready for passing on when the weather is ok for them to be put out for passers-by to take. That way the conservatory will eventually look tidy-ish. Put the 2 climbers in their new pots and wound them round trellis.
- went to Body Step. Hard work! Not to mention rather nerve-wracking driving through rather wet/flooded roads and surveying the flooded fields en route; rather alarming considering I drove the same route yesterday and although wet, has got considerably worse.
- reluctantly took down Christmas tree, cards and any decs not involving flowers. Still have 2 flower arrangements on the go, which will stay until the flowers die. Everything bagged/boxed and put in loft.
- lounge, dining room, hall and stairs vacuumed. Various miscellaneous bits of tidying done.
- checked, paid for and printed LPA form now my friend has agreed to sign to say I am not being coerced!
- dug out new bank card as tried to use old one in supermarket yesterday - oops. Now signed and old one cut up.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -

I'm having one last night with the Christmas tree and its lights before packing it away tomorrow.
RxxI've tried to do multi-quote but I always end up just with the last post I quoted - I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I did mean to quote lots of people but suffice to say I'm sending hugs and positive vibes to all who need them.Round, like you I'm sitting here looking at our lovely tree for the last time before I take the decorations off it and take it out tomorrow for the council to collect. I shall really miss it. All the other decorations and cards will have to come down too so it will look pretty bare for a while. The berries on the ilex are looking very wizened but I shall still miss them as they are such a lovely red. The first of our amaryllises is nearly out though so that will compensate. My trip out for the paper this morning also included a walk to the greengrocer at the end of the road as A declared that he would like to have savoy cabbage with his casserole and I didn't have any. Came back and did more lunch prep. The butter for the pud was still quite firm so when I took the casserole out, before I put in the potatoes, I let the oven cool a bit and then put the butter, which was in a large metal mixing bowl, into the oven to soften for a minute or two. I had to watch it like a hawk so that it didn't turn to liquid but managed to do that. As I was peeling and slicing the apples, two roofers came and looked at the leak and then went on the roof. They opined that the work that previous roofers had done was of poor quality (which I can believe). They will report on their findings shortly.A's cousin arrived a bit late (we're still waiting for ASB so maybe she's lost) but it didn't matter as a casserole isn't time sensitive. After lunch we drove to a local park and took turns to push A around in his wheelchair. Then it was back home for tea and Christmas cake. Soon it was time for a simple supper and then finish the washing up and tidying up. Night time eye routine done, teeth cleaned and it will soon be time for bed.

Not much flying today due to still feeling dizzy this morning. Thankfully it has reduced as the day’s gone on. However, this means I didn’t go out to drop the duvets for washing. Mr. Jings also didn’t feel like riding them over on his trailer bike either because we’re having a cold snap this weekend and he didn’t want to be without the warmth. They’re on the schedule for next week.
Just the dishwasher filled up and ran today. I’ll get back to cleaning tomorrow.
Have a good night all. 🙂

Do you know what's causing your dizziness JMB? If not, do you have a bp machine at home so that you check you don't have low bp?

Morning all,
CoG - I was stuck in the mud trying to get there, I hope there are some leftovers plated up for meOh and I had the rabbit packed, as well as a pheasant and some of our own eggs xx
Thanks for the cocoa Piggers, I loved it
Fayolle - I got that book out of the library you recommended, thank you. Starting it is my reward when I have finished the list below!! x
Busy day ahead, so another list needed. Didn't manage to make the spag bol yesterday, we had oven pizza instead, so I am going to shove that in the SC as soon as I have finished typing this. I also need to:
- feed the animals
- hang the washing out (although it's very cold we are forecast SUN here today!! I won't believe it 'til I see it though!)
- hitch trailer ready for Monday's journey to abbatoir
- list FB and fleabay bits
- get the stove lit again (on the list after spag bol, embers still glowing so won't take long)
- fix chicken shed gate
- affix new light switch in DS' room
- chop kindling
That is enough to be getting on with I think. Hugs to everyone xx9 -
Morning all
Wide awake at 6am thinking about work. That nonsense needs to stop right away, I do not think about work on a weekend!
Laundry in tumbler to finish off, another load to go over the airer. Parents are coming at 9.45am for the trip to hospital.
Feel a bit flat. This too shall pass, right?
Have a good Saturday all x9 -
morning all
WM x 2, bedding so i’m planning on pegging it out to lighten at least. DW x 1
Plan for today is to visit the Aged Ps to get the council tax disregard form signed and pick up supporting paperwork. Am fully expecting it not to go smoothly.
I also want to make marmalade. It will be a very good day if I also get the LR cleaned. And my bed changed. Oh 5 more minutes and i can lie down with my book.
Also i would like a clean car… wash it myself or hit the car wash (and have to queue, no doubt)?Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
