I saw 8 le Creuset mugs today, Cats Rescue shop, St Johns, Worcester.

All the colours of the rainbow.

Sadly I couldn't stretch to £30.

Ouch! Too far for me to pedal to as well and, although they look lovely online, I have been wondering what they're like in real life and resolutely not finding out just in case I fall in love with them IYSWIM. Sometimes it's just better to tell yourself that something is bound to be a disappointment in the flesh and keep it as a lovely daydream; in my next life I shall have one of those beautifully curated kitchens and swan about making everything look effortless while my coiffeur looks glossily wonderful but for now it's weeding my allotment and jauntily mismatched chazza bargain kitchen kit with my hair looking fraught!

Anyhow, I visited the posh suburb farmer's market yesterday morning and noticed that the Hospice chazza was open so popped in and bought this linen mix H&M shirt, £10.



Then I bought this pale mint pleated top £4.



And then I spotted these navy seersucker Orvis culottes as well as a jacket that seemed to belong with them, £9 each.





I also fell for these four books all £1.50 each.



Then last of all, today I popped into my favourite bhf shop on the way to buy milk and a cabbage and bought the unopened dvd £1 and the collection of whodunnits, £2.

I bought this Next blouse amongst others the other day for just £1. The material is thin but robust:


Not having a cami to wear underneath, I went to Primark and bought this for £2. Its the first brand new item of clothing (not including undies) I have bought in years, and really brought it home to me. Chazzer quality is head and shoulders above fast fashion:

Only 2 things I've found to buy in Primark.  The tiddly pots of Vaseline which were 89p (twice that in other shops and stupidly expensive in Canada for some reason) and 2 lime green mankinis which were I think £5 each and were given to 2 friends as a going away present when they went to Mauritius for their honeymoon.  I made them promise it they ever wore them I didn't want to see the photos.

@Floss - thanks for the update on the Ackroyd books.  I've decided to bite the bullet and buy the Hebridean book directly from the artist - overall cost will be about £20 I think including postage.  Once I have that I'll keep a watch on the others and see if I want to get them.  I'm not particularly fussed about having things new as long as they're in decent shape (like us all) but I also know I have only so much brain and shelf space so need to pace myself a bit on purchases.

Ditto on the little pots of Vaseline which I always have in my pocket and the memory foam insoles and the men's range of thermal socks. My feet are size 42 or 43 depending on shoe shape so the mens ranges are generally a better fit for me.
I did pass one or two charity shops in Headington today but was so loaded down with purchases for my allotment that I didn't feel equal to doing any more shopping. I might try and call in there this Thursday depending on the weather.

Primark thermals  - leggings and vests - do the job well, so I am in them all winter. I bought them at the end of a season a few years ago and am very happy with them! 

The swimsuit looks good, what does "tugless" refer to?
