Be very careful with the long HWB @goldfinches , they can be awkward to fill and end up spluttering out their air locks. Also you are better off using a kettle with such devices and not the hot tap.goldfinches said:I spotted this long hot water bottle through the window and went straight to it before someone else nabbed it. I tried to buy one in the Dunelm sale, but they were all gone by the time I looked, so I'm very pleased with this one which is BNIB and was £7.50 and is a lovely creamy white fleece too.
Having said that I did actually buy another couple in the Dunelm sale with the intention of gifting, just not to older or less co-ordinated people. The last thing they need is an errant scald.

First day in the Cotswolds…..
Burford - Sue Ryder Shop…. Smells so fresh on entry, well stocked and well presented with good quality stuff. Slightly higher prices than in Yorkshire. Helen & Douglas House also worth a look. Bought nothing tho.
On to Cirencester (via the stunning stained glass windows of St Mary’s, Fairford)…eventually found the street with all the charity shops! Bought a Hawes & Curtis shirt wiv cats embroidered on it for £5.99. Just looked like dear departed old Albert so could not resist 😪

Ooooh, life is weird sometimes! Spent this morning doing some ‘alternative’ browsing of the goodies at Bicester Village, (yikes, the prices!). Finished up having brunch at the Ottolenghi cafe there, (not very nice croissant but good coffee). Got a nice wink from the handsome waiter on the way out though!🤭 Said to myself I should look out for one of his cook books in a chazza sometime. Then called into Chipping Norton and browsed a couple of chazza shops, nice enough but found nothing of note, dropped into the Oxfam antiquarian bookshop there and there propped up with a ‘new in’ sign on it was Ottolenghi’s book called ‘Plenty’ - all vegetarian recipes and in perfect condition. Perfect for me. Priced at £9.99. Then on to the massive and wondrous Burford Garden Centre where they had the full range of O’s cook books with ‘Plenty’ priced at £27. Serendipity?

Well done @Miró! Very good hunting - and a hefty saving.
The Burford Garden Centre is somewhere I can easily spend most of the day, especially in that bookshop and café. Mind you I can spend ages in an Oxfam bookshop as well. Have you been to the one in York?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
