That's shocking @Rosa_Damascena, and quite possibly a hate crime. I'm at the wrong end of Yorkshire (80+ miles away) but hopefully the publicity will get lots of customers in to support the shop.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Oooh wish I lived a bit nearer too! Stupid NIMBY 😡Today’s trip to Otley unearthed a BNWT jersey ‘midaxi’* dress by Roman, priced at £2.99. Had to alter the neckline tho as it was v v low 🫢. Also not sure if I should lop a few inches off the skirt and make it a midi length, (currently about 3” above the ankle)?

No don't unpick the neckline or hem @Miró - use a cami underneath, wear it with heels and you are good to go. Alternatively send it with your best wishes to the Essex Riviera (I don't mean to @Wednesday2000 ).

Haven't been shopping today so nothing interesting to report back about and I agree with @Rosa_Damascena about keeping the dress as it is to preserve the proportions IYSWIM. Could you fill in the neckline with some lace or a fichu?7 -
I've been busy with work & bogged down with medication side effects so not done much mooching recently. I had already altered/tightened the neckline before I took the pic!!!
Imagine how low it was before!!! I just would not have dared to lean forward as it was originally

I just walked to a charity shop and back and didn't buy one thing! I feel very hot from walking as it is lovely and sunny out today. At least I got some steps in.

It is beautiful, I agree. I'm going to take a walk along the seafront whilst it is fine and get back to my desk when I am exercised.
