I think you got o the car boot before us, @Miró, as we had guests leaving this morning. However I agree, some lovely branded clothes, though not the right size for me. I can't actually remember a car boot sale where I saw so many (good condition) Phase 8, M&S, Benetton etc.
I came away with a fascinator (£1), a darning mushroom (£1) and a vintage Denby jug (£4), while DH got an old book that he thinks might be worth something.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

This is the one place where the (self appointed, new, breathing) Chairman of the Acquisition Committee cannot get at me. Given I've been desperately overpaying the mortgage & just Looking at Denby, please, be generous with the details?!9

Here you go DFV 😊. I think it’s 1950s, maybe a bit before or after. It’s a lighter brown than my Homestead items. Anything more you can tell me would be most helpful.
Brie, sorry for the lack of scarf-ness 😆I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

P.S. Sorry the photos are so huge. I forgot, uploading from my phone late in the evening, that this happens unless you select for a smaller resolution.
Geek info: I've compared the 'new' jug with a Denby coffee pot of the same colouring that I bought a while back but where the top edge has a much neater finish. The interior of both is a sort of stone colour - darker than that of the one Bourne piece I have - and the exteriors are both slightly lighter than the Homestead ones, which I think started in 1953 (elsewhere I've seen 1948 mentioned). My experience tells me there's a lot of minor variation amongst individual older pieces that I don't notice on modern Denby.
I think it's Bourne brown as the one in this picture is identical.
Sorry it's still not a scarf.
