A couple of recent chazzer-finds: a couple of BNWT decorative sprays (these are heavy and have a "Sage" label - which looks like an industry supplier) and a necklace:

A Thursday trip to Otley was a failure this week
Bought 3 x 99p, good quality items in the St Gemma's shop - a Lipsy midi dress, a pair of beige Mint Velvet trousers and a pair of Jaeger jeans. Nothing fits or looks good on me!! A friend has suggested putting them on Vinted where they could possible sell for decent prices. Doesn't seem right though to make a profit. I feel I should re-donate to another chazza. I know lots of chazza users buy stuff to sell on resale sites but still....... Anyone have a view on this??

I would probably just give the clothes back to the shop you bought them from.
I can never be bothered to sell clothes online, but I'm sure lots of people do it.6 -
My local village has a lady who goes in every afternoon to buy/look at clothes to sell on. They often pop something on clothes dummy to catch her eye! I know it isn't any good if it is still there a few days later. They think it helps with the fast turnover and I can see their point. If you have the time to sell on Vinted then I think it is fine but i often donate rather than sell just to get my clutter out!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!7 -
Perhaps sell but use the profits to buy more from that shop? Or sell and donate some of the proceeds? It's a tricky one: a lot depends on the expertise in the shop, but Otley sounds such a bargain place that they wouldn't have made big bucks out of those pieces anyway.
Another option might be to donate to a charity you want to support, especially if you can gift aid.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I sometimes buy things to sell on for my MH charity fundraising. I figure it helps both causes?!Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings10

Still can't make up my mind about chazza buying and then re-selling🙄
Picked up a couple of dishes with uranium glass bases from the Herriot Hospice in Bedale this morning for £2 the pair. Fortunately I had my UV torch with me to check if the green fluoresced.
Ahoy scarf lovers...... Bedale Car Boot Sale.... I picked up an 'Hermes' scarf. The seller assured me it was an Hermes rather than an 'Hermes'! Said she had washed it and the colour green ran so she was selling it for a silly price. Hmmmmm. Anyhoo, thought it was worth the £5 just as a novelty scarf. Apparently that design does exist and is known for the colour running so I dunno......

Some great buys @Miró! I've no idea about verifying scarves but the colour run doesn't seem to have affected it.
I didn't go to the car boot today (and Woodfield is still too soggy to use: I read they are putting down aggregate to make it vehicle-worthy) but wandered into a few charity shops in Northallerton. DH got a DVD for £1 and I got some fabric for £2 and resisted some books.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

And as @Floss has suggested I would be very willing to help with the scarf. You may bring that with you at the same time so I can examine it more closely. So far a google has only turned up an orange triangle version in silk and cashmere which (when available) was retailing for £760. Admittedly further research may take an extended period of time and you may have to leave the scarf with me to enable a thorough investigation. I will of course treat it with the utmost respect and do my darndest not to slobber on it excessively.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
