For bargain enthusiasts in the vicinity of East London - the Giant London Flea market is scheduled for Sunday (Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Multi-Storey Car Park, Hackney, London E15 2GZ). Apparently most stall holders take cards?
Unlikely to be a fun experience if you don't like crowds though. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.6 -

Any Domestic Goddesses around???? Floating through Ripon today on my way back to the metrollops I spotted in the Martin House chazza a Hobbs dress for £8 in that vibrant leafy green that some fashionista's tell us is THE colour for this summer. On close inspection it turned out to have a weird small black mark at the bottom of the skirt at the back. It looks a bit tarry or oily....as if someone sat on something??? Anyhoo I pointed it out to the assistant and she said if I wanted take a chance of getting the mark out I could have it for £4. Soooo now my challenge is...how to do it??? The fabric is 79% triacetate and 21% polyester. I found a Stain Devil for Mould and Ink under the sink and I have a bottle of Johnsons Shout stain remover. Or do I just throw it in the washer and hope for the best. The label has all the usual 'do's and 'do nots'...dry clean only, not to be hand washed, do not rub, etc etc. Any other ideas would be most welcome6 -

How to Wash and Care for Acetate and Triacetate Clothes (thespruce.com)Treating Stains on Acetate and Triacetate
Treat stains on acetate and triacetate fabrics with a stain remover that's meant for the specific type of stain you're treating, such as coffee stains, ink, or makeup. To remove unpleasant smells, soak the garment for 30 minutes in cold water that's been mixed with 1 cup baking soda, and then wash normally. Never use acetone (nail polish remover) or organic solvents like turpentine to remove stains on acetate or triacetate because the fibers will dissolve, and this cannot be reversed.

How to Remove Set-In Oil Stains
If an oil stain has already set in, perhaps because the item with the stain went through the dryer, there are still steps you can take to remove it.
Use a water displacement lubricator (such as WD-40) to re-activate the oil stain by spraying it and then letting it sit for about half an hour. Then, treat the stain with dish soap. Avoid running the item through the washing machine, and instead, hand wash it with warm water and a bit of laundry detergent. Rinse thoroughly with water.
Repeat as necessary until the stain is gone.

This is by far my favourite purchase this year.
I’m quite partial to a bit of costume jewellery and when I found this one for £3 in the Dogs Trust it had to come home with me as something about it said ‘quality’. I’ve worn it a couple of times already and it’s got a lot of compliments both times. Anyway I finally did a bit of googling and found out us by a brand called Zsiska and probably retailed new around the £70 mark.
Very pleased in my £3 investment.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)
