I love the hair comb @Miró - I use similar now my hair has grown enough to tie back. Simply gather together, coil and secure with the comb. I'm using these ones and they hold it tight:
Works best with day 2 hair though.
I bought a Phase Eight midi evening dress for just £2 today, and a black skirt for £1, and a pink float Roman blouse for £1.50. Eta: the blouse retails at £32:
No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.8 -
Pics of my dress, skirt and another scarf I collected along the way:
Admittedly not the most brilliant pics I could have taken but I'm sure they'll look fine on me!

I'm not sure about ducks, but I have experience with my hens hatching their eggs and they can barely move from their nest - they may only get up for a couple of minutes a day to stretch their legs and have a drink. They often don't bother much with food, as they are so focussed on the task at hand! They survive perfectly well though
Chicken eggs take about 21 days to hatch, I gather for ducks it is nearer 28 days.7 -
The Cornerstone was having a sale of some racks of clothes for £1. I found a black Next jumper. I also got a pair of sunglasses for £2 and a king size duvet cover for £5.
I was very happy about the duvet cover as I just managed to ruin one of mine by attempting to dye it.🤣7 -

goldfinches said:@Miró how exciting to have a nesting duck, you lucky thing. I don't have any useful advice to offer except to say that unless it is her first ever brood she is an expert and has presumably chosen a site she considers perfect. I'm in awe of your setting up a camera so quickly and hope that you'll be posting regular photos and updates on here for us all to admire. I expect you'll be starring in next week's newsletter too.
In other news I had a particularly expensive trip to my favourite Bhf shop this afternoon where I spent £58 on 6 pairs of M&S trousers, a Boden top, a tray, 2 cookbooks, a kitchen waste container and a dinky bain marie pot. They must have seen me coming because one of the cookbooks had been placed prominently in the window which mysteriously made me unable to pass the shop door! I'm not expecting that all the clothes will fit and/or flatter but, since they have a 28 day return window, decided to buy the lot and decide at home because I find that much easier. I'll post photos tomorrow once I've made up my mind.
So the picture appeared (static) under the "carousel" ( @Miró - the selection of various larger pictures which roll round.)8
