I wonder how imprinted the spot is with the ducklings too. Anyhoo, back to business….fab morning at the Bedale Car Boot Sale…came away with a BNWT M & S dress for £5, a B/N M & S swim suit, a Laura Ashley skirt and a Laura Ashley jumper, all 3 for £5 from another seller. Then from Northallerton CRUK a b/n burgundy Austin Reid jacket for £5.99. And a hydrometer testing thingy for plants for 99p.6 -
Thank you for the Duck story Miro, that was just what I needed tonight. How lucky were you (and Daphne) to have an experience like thatI would post a picture of my Charity aquisitions but so many it would be hard to choose. My last was completely useless and a pretty herb painted, giant cup and saucer for plants. I was thrilled because it's a really good one - then I remembered I'd have to water it every day through summer !Perhaps I'll turn it into a miniture pond/water feature. That will have the neighbours convinced I'm nuts instead of just thinking it

I popped back into Barnado's this afternoon and to my delight the BN books were reduced to 50p each (to make way for new titles arriving next week, I was told). Happy days, my purse is £3 lighter and my bookcase 6 books heavier

I went exploring in Heswall earlier and came away with a hardback vegan cookery book (£1 from Air Ambulance), an M&S jumper and a floaty summer dress (each £5.99 from Oxfam). There were a few other charity shops but they weren't open with it being Sunday. Worth a look, though, as it's a 'nice' area and that was reflected in the quality of what was in the charity shops.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)
