*Embarrassed face*.....me again!!
Went for a wander around Wetherby today, not one of my usual haunts but noticed at least half a dozen chazza shops. Bought a book....' Debrett's Etiquette and Modern Manners' £1.50....only cos it was beautifully bound & in perfect condition despite being nearly 50 years old. Does anyone need any tips on 'organising a ball in your private ballroom'?
Update on the (uranium?) posy bowl! It doesn't fluoresce under a UV torch but it does have those weird flashes of green in daylight. Google has mixed opinions as to whether this is a uranium glass piece or not so I'm now totally confused about it!8 -

I went for a little wander whilst it was still light earlier and found I couldn't pass one of my favourite chazzers without peeking. I bought 2 trays - one round tin, one rectangular with ergonomic grips, 2 metal bookmarks and a microwaveable saucepan with lid for a grand total of £3.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.8 -
Lots of things over the last couple of weeks:
Turquoise Lifeventure insulated drinks flask £1
BN cut to size insoles 50p
Wedgewood blue M and S short sleeve sweater £4 (I’m now on the lookout for the matching cardigan as I have been watching early episodes of Call the Midwife!)
Blue Sistema sandwich box £1
Denim Carr Westly midi length full skirt £3.Papaya denim shift dress £1.5
Long sleeve blue and white Fever striped top 50p
Joules blue and white striped pull on mini skirt for the beach £4.50
Musto pale pink fleece gillet £4
M and Co midi length button through denim dress with a frill at the bottom £6
I also bought a Primarni white broiderie anglaise dress for £3.50 but it looks hideous on so I will redonate.
3 big bags donated.9 -
I popped to our local chazza this weekend and managed to resist buying some bits I didn’t need… but I did return with 4 books which once read will be moved on. I was sorely tempted though.

Did the rounds of the Ripon chazza shops today. Came away with an uranium glass posy bowl £8, an Autograph grey knee length skirt £2, a painting by a local artist £8 and a grey down gilet by Coercion £5.

I went out looking for a top and a dog toy today. I bought a pair of wide fit brown boots for £7. The soles look unworn. I got a toy for my own dog, a stuffed giraffe, although I had been looking for one for my cousin's puppy. I also got a seagrass basket and a Kelly Holmes weighted skipping rope boxed up. I didn't find a top!10

Only recent find…Jaegar navy blazer stylee jacket, Samaritans shop in Thirsk, £8, appears b/n as pockets are uncut and spare buttons still danglin’ in their little plastic bag.
Anyone else get the feeling peeps are putting stuff on Vinted and DePop these days instead of donating???7 -
Beautiful jacket, @Miró. You might be right about the donations, sadly.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)
