I agree about V!nted. It’s very easy to list items and they don’t expire like Bay of E, so once advertised you just sit back and wait for it to sell. I’ve been gifted some BNWT high end clothing for my fundraising which has gone on there rather that EB.
In buying news, I found a paid of N3xt trousers in the hospice shop for £3.50. They are charcoal grey marl and wide leg but a petite fit. Currently in the wash and I’ll add those to the work wardrobe.Yesterday I got 3 x books for £1 plus what I thought was a sofa blanket/knee rug but is actually a cape. It will live on the sofa! £3 from Banardos.Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings9 -
I popped into a hospice shop in Ramsgate yesterday. I think it was called Pilgrim's and I bought a white long sleeve top to wear under my jumper for £3. It was cold by the sea yesterday!

Trust me! Moaned about not finding bargains then today found a Next dress in autumnal colours for £6.50 from the Martin House Hospice shop in Northallerton... bit more pricy than I like but I'm pleased with it and it's a charity I like to support having friends who have used their services. Then.... aaarrgghh....will I never learn? Martin House shop, in N'allerton too, saw a Lands End jumper in the heavier quality cashmere in burgundy for £6,....wandered orft to think about it....next news, another woman is at the till paying for it! 😩

I've picked up a fair few bits from various chazzers over the past fortnight and I have managed to launder everything too now (not that the laundry gods were on my side, I picked what I thought was going to be a dry day and its started to tip it down the minute I got the second load out. I think I am going to have to give in to the moratorium on ironing and get on with it if I am ever to wear some of the garments:
Firstly the dress from the other week - not really worth £4 but I am happy to support.M&S jacket for work, M&S hooded anorak for spring days, blue dress as a reserve items should I get fat again, nice thick top in a colour that suits (didn't realise until I tried it on that it had puffy sleeves, but the trade off is that it keeps me nice and warm), 3 sleeveless summer tops:No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.7 -
