Thanks Brie. I only paid £3 for all the books, CDs and DVDs so not worried this time but a good tip for the future.Brie said:
do make sure you check what is in the case for dvds and cds. I've been stung a few times when they had premium and ordinary stuff. Can't remember what I spotted - something fun but disposable like Robbie Williams that I thought I might listen to a couple of times before dropping it back to a charity shop and it turned out to be something vile like some old Cliff Richards or similar. I also picked up a double CD once of Harry Nilson only to discover that the better of the two was missing.bishopsgirl said:My local Sue Ryder is selling all books DVDs and CDs at 10 for a £1. You can mix and match.
I bought 2 CDs, 11 DVDs and 17 books which are all in excellent condition, some brand new.
Might pop in again new week.Be Lucky Everyone3 -
My last two trips to Otley have been a waste of time chazza wise. Thought today was going to be the same but I got back to the bus station, having done the rounds, only to find I had 25 mins to wait for the bus home. Went back into the St Gemma's Hospice (99p) shop to get out of the cold and on the very last rail I looked at I came across a Lands End, non-iron, navy and white shirt in perfect condition. Swiftly bought it and ran like a bat out of wotsit for the bus!

Me again with another epistle

I saw a navy Jaegar coat in the local Community chazza on Tuesday. Beautiful pure wool fabric and appeared brand new, priced at £12. Talked myself out of it by reminding self I already have 3 navy coats. Of course, I couldn't stop thinking about it afterwards, Googled it and found one had been on FleaBay and sold for £160 recently.....original price having been £335
*interest re-ignited*
First thing this morning I hot-footed it back to the chazza fully expecting the coat to have been sold....but there it was just waiting for me
Happy, happy me!!
Here it is.....

Frankly stands up & applauds. Even though you have others, that's just serious quality.
Plus it waited for you overnight, so It Was Meant. (Does it fit into your freezer?)
It's arrived to bridge that tricksy time between It could be subzero & ah, over 10 Celsius - add a scarf and a smile & you're set....

Has your neighbour/ a friend got a freezer @Miro? I wouldn't want to take any chances with something as beautiful as that. Especially as it waited for you and all...

Yep the freezer is to kill anything and everything.
I have a friend who does the freezer trick but ever so slightly dampens the item first. I just give it a good shake out, fold it nicely in to a carrier bag and pop it in the freezer for a wee while
