I took an impromptu trip into Rayleigh this afternoon (encouraged by an invite to tea and free parking).
There are plenty of chazzers, including a Barnardos that has relocated to a store the equivalent of 3-4 units. All were ridiculously priced.
Having said that I bought 3 books, all for well over what I would have found them for in Southend. 2 were BN stock in Barnardos at £2.50 each (fair enough, I might have found them in Southend and would have bought them) and one was a small hardback which was donated but looked BN for £2. (It's a management book I have wanted to read it for over a decade now but wasn't prepared to pay full price for, so my £1/book chazzer threshold warranted the contravention).

So much to read, so little time.7 -
Ventured to Morpeth (Northumberland market town) on Friday where I bought:
New Look white ribbed vest £2.50 - something I had been on the lookout for for a while.
Duck egg blue velvet scrunchie 50p.
Mint green textured with a wavy pattern H and M PE leggings 99p.
in one of the CS DH heard someone talking about a book sale in the town hall so we went along and I managed to get 3 hardback novels and a paperback about Holy Island for £1 each and DH a first edition of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and a signed book about cricket also for £1 each.
The first lesson of the CS is obviously to buy it if you like it, but the second is perhaps that patience will be rewarded at some stage.9 -
Miró said:Wandered round my local chazza shops today. The Sue Ryder shop had a half prices sale on some goods. Came home with an M&S navy checked blazer stylee jacket, was £8 mine for £4. Looks unworn as all pockets uncut and spare buttons still attached. Also got an unusual, (weird?), Whistles skirt in a checked woollen fabric in autumnal shades of orange. It has a centre pleat with a strip of fancy beaded trim either side. Lined in a luxurious heavy satin with a pleated trim at the hem line which is designed to show. £2.50, was £5.7

This week I have mostly been buying M and S in the charity shops:
M&S bluebell coloured cardigan that I have been on the lookout for to complete my two set £2
M&S blue T-shirt material sleeveless dress with cream spots £4
Dark navy M & S jersey straight legged trousers £4. I love an M &s trouser as the short is perfect for me, so I was disappointed to find them a bit on the short side. However closer inspection showed the previous owner has taken them up and there now a perfect length. I also thought they were black but as I’ll wear them with white tee and trainers and a denim jacket dark navy is fine.
Pink and silver M&S credit card wallet with my initial on 49p
A raspberry pink leather Tula crossbody bag £10
And a River Island cream top with leopard print collar £2

A small chazzer find this week - mini baking pans. The aluminium ones are BN and sturdy, am looking forward to trying them out in my combi microwave. Bundt cake for two coming up!
