Shop Charity Store in '24!

I was in the office today and one of my colleagues told me I was ‘all poshed up’ I was wearing my £6 new with tags black jacket and my £4 embroidered Italian silk top. Both recent purchases from our local hospice shop. I smiled to myself….

Next time you get a ridiculous ultimatum prioritise correctly by selling your partner and keep the Cornishware.

Ooooh not heard the term ‘poshed up’ in a while 😁

Did the rounds of Ripon today…came away with a b/n Per Una midaxi dress in shades of brown and blue.  Fully lined and with pockets!! Samaritans shop, £10.  Also got a pair of b/n M & S slippers £6.  Sad to see the lovely hospice shop closed for safety reasons…..their big side window smashed .  Presumably someone decided to help themselves to the goodies in the window, (they do tend to display a lot of high priced stuff in their windows).  Sad times! ☹️

Had a very profitable charity shop Gaul yesterday a pair of M&S black on dark grey leopard print jeggings for £3 (described by the lady in the till as ‘a bit racy’). A pair of brand new sparkly jeans for £8 and a brand new green dress with pink and black leopard print for £15. A little pricey but it’s a great dress.

Bought a Keith Floyd hardback book on Mediterranean food from Oxfam. When it arrived, the dust jacket was dirty and I had to bin it. Hardback underneath was vgc and it was a signed copy. 3.99 !

If you were ever to sell it,  you may find you have reduced its potential value by up to 75% by binning the dust jacket.

I had an appointment near to St Vincent's again. I always seem to be in that area! My favourite lap cushion had to be binned as the stuffing was all coming out and I spilt some sauce over the cushion cover too. I was looking for an oblong shaped cushion as I have it on my lap when I'm reading or watching TV.

I didn't see one cushion in there. I did see what I think it a prop to use for doing yoga so I bought that instead as it would work. The cream footstool is for my pets to sit on, the toy was for my dog and the necklace and the trainers were for me. That all came to £18.
