I went on an epic chazzer hunt today as I'm still looking for an outfit for Saturday and I'm running out of time. I hit 10,000 steps while I was out!
The Cornerstone - I bought a DKNY bag (it was £10 but I did google how much they are new) and a black cardigan (£1) and a black and purple wrap dress for £2.50. None of this was for going out this weekend, though.
I then walked to the PDSA shop, the Childrens' Society shop, the Southend Hospital shop, the Sense shop, Sue Ryder, Mind, Harp and then back to the hospice shop I was in yesterday on Leigh Road. I'm probably missing one out. There had the worst selection of dresses in most of them. I did finally find a red River Island dress and a Zara black party dress. I think they were both Sue Ryder. I'm undecided on what one to wear as they both feel a bit tight on and I'm not going to lose a few pounds in a few days. I will definitely keep both, but I might go out again tomorrow.
I did see a Lacoste bag in the men's section in Mind which I got for £6 as I pointed out a stain. I have just washed it and it is fine. I will wear it as I do sometimes wear men's clothes/accessories. I don't know if that is weird, but I find men's clothes are often better quality than women's clothes. I wore a men's sweatshirt out today in fact.I just looked on Etsy and the Lacoste bags go for £83 on there.
I haven't been to the shops near Hamlet Court Road in ages and there is one quite good shop there so I might go on the hunt again tomorrow.

I had a nice chat about books with the chap in the Samaritans store last week thoughNo man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.6 -
Floss - I can't find the exact DKNY bag online even though I found the Lacoste one straight away. It is a black tote bag.
Rosa - oh yes, I had totally forgotten about the fire at Harp. The shop I like in that street is the Southend Hospital store.2025 GOALS

Meanwhile I went back to the shop to get the bits of Minton china and it was, of course, all gone. Woman working there said it was sold last week - think I spotted it on Thursday. And then she added that of course if you want something you have nab it immediately. I'm sure I'll get over the disappointment. In fact I think I spotted a random tea cup saucer some where in our own clutter that might work nicely as place to put the dish soap bottle.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Had a lovely afternoon charity shopping with my DB in St Ives, Cambridgeshire yesterday. There are lots of charity shops there and some are better than others! I bought a leather wallet/purse for £1 from Barnardos and a M&S dress for £5.99 from Oxfam, which fits perfectly. My DB bought a lovely Jasper Conran coat for £20, also fitted perfectly. Both looked brand new, not worn. I also bought a halogen oven from the EACH shop. I had seen it on Saturday when it was priced at £25 but the shop was busy and I couldn't ask anyone about it so I walked away. Yesterday it was £15 and found out it was working and had all been checked and PATested so I snapped it up!Stash busting challenge 2025: 0/100 £0/£100 Fashion on the ration 2025: 0/667

A word of warning ladies. When you go into a changing room be careful where you put your handbag.
I was trying on a top the other day and an arm came round the curtain towards the hooks. I gave it a whack but by the time I'd got myself decent and gone out I couldn't see a likely suspect. There were plenty of people in the shop but I didn't recognise the arm (it was a dark sleeve).
So if the hooks are near the opening side of the curtain - be aware.I'm unsure about my spine, I think it's holding me back.19
