A lovely canter around Ripon today, (wow, sunshine and no rain!!!) and came away with (another) pair of ballet flats - Dune this time b/n and £4 in the Samaritan’s shop and a b/n purple, wool & silk mix pencil skirt by a designer I have never heard of but seems to be well regarded, Georges Rech for £3.99.

It was like this but I think there were 2 plus a couple of little bowls. Will have to decide if I'll be happy with one or feel I have to have the lot. Thinking that given our new kitchen is navy cupboards with mustard walls a little dish like this would fit in perfectly.5 -
Had an unexpected find yesterday - a Next showerproof thermal jacket suitable for this time of year (coming into spring) that looked new for £2.50. Looks like it will be hitting the laundry basket on Wednesday which will be our next full day of sunshine and double figures.
Next Saturday is set to hit 13degC!No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.8 -
thanks for the reminder of the Susie Cooper
I had a huge and gorgeous collection of it but sold it when times got hard.
Popped into village charity store and bought for 2.50 a knitted brown cape with fur trim. Discussed with a random stranger about washing it (bung in machine on hand wash then when dry use a hair brush to brush out the fur) and it has come up beautifully. Wore out last night and felt so glam. I love it. It looked so scruffy on the hanger but it is a wonderful find.
Interestingly put a Reiss (bough new in my flush with cash days) jumper underneath and decided I didn't like the jumper due to weight gain so will pop that on vinted later. Dressed up for dinner date in jeans with last year's charity shop jumper and charity shop watch and wore v old cowboy boots new cape and a huge smile. Loving my new life. (spent years in a very poor relationship, 5 years of post separation abuse and now free).
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I went for a long walk on the beach and popped into the Leigh hospice charity shop and they had two faux fur coats in there. The black one was on a mannequin in the window. I asked to try it on and it was so unflattering! 😆It made me look huge. I'm so glad I didn't buy one new as I was thinking about buying one from New Look.
So I still don't have an outfit for next weekend. I'm going to try a few more shops tomorrow.8 -

Yes. That was me saying that about the Mob Wife thing as I keep seeing it in Instagram. I didn't bother to try on the light brown Zara faux fur coat as it said size small. I think I will rethink that look or maybe just look for a faux fur or animal print scarf. Saying that the weather is warming up next week.2025 GOALS

Thank you for the kind words. I've shared in my diary and in threads on here the downside, the rubbish and I got through it all with support a lot of which came from the MSE Forum. I still struggle from time to time but I am filled with gratitude I am here and doing well. If anyone is reading this and struggling then know there is hope and help out there and a lot of us here on the forums have struggled too.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
