I went to the dentist the other afternoon.
I nipped into the Shared Space straight afterwards (they are lovely in there!) and bought 3 luggage padlocks for £2, and a book for £1. I didn't take more time to browse as it was nearing 5pm and its staffed by volunteers after all.
I passed the St Vincent's a bit further along the road and was pleasantly surprised to see that it doesn't close until 5.30pm. It felt cosy and was packed full of olde worlde Christmas charm! I still can't get over the prices though, so I stuck to buying a couple of CDs.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.5 -
Nipped into CS in village. £7.50 for 3 candles, a t-shirt for the boyfriend, a jigsaw for Christmas hols, a wind up tin musical Christmas decoration, 2 spoons and a new chocolate with a knitted Christmas pudding cover - they had a whole box of them on the counter at a £1 each. Its a good cause and the staff are lovely.
First time I have bought a Jigsaw from a CS as I have always worried they might have bits missing but, it is Christmas and I'm not going to get around to buying a new one and this one is lovely (really old cars and cottages). Looking forward to it.
They had a mirror saved but it was too big for the space but they went and checked the donations room for me in case one had come in that morning. So lovely of the staff. I have never had as much fun shopping anywhere "new" as I do in the village CS.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!7 -
Miró said:I saw him in Les Liaisons Dangereux at that teeny theatre they used to try out productions in Stratford. We were in the front row and he stood on my foot in the sword fight. When the play finished he came over to me, kissed my had and apologised 😍. So.... ner!!!
Did I ever mention that I've met Kurt Russell (as in Goldie Hawn's other half - she was in the loo at the time.....)?
