@SandyShores There is one shop on my regular route (Ripon!) that is dreadful for this. I can never decide if it is a problem with the donated items or if the shop has a problem with the drains. Anyhoo, they try to cover up the smell by using various air freshener type of thingies but that just seems to make matters worse. If I ever go in I have to hold my breath, race around until I turn blue then make a dash for the door and fresh air!

Thanks @Cherryfudge and @Miró I agree, its definitely worth pushing through - and maybe the yuck factor puts some people off - leaving more bargains for us stronger constitution folk
It makes sense about the steaming, I know our local St Marg's always steamed the clothes before they put them out and they didn't have this.
Patrick Grant, very elegant dresser and also shops in CSs - so we are definitely doing it right."Think of many things, do one"

Visited a war zone this afty, otherwise known as Tesco in Thirsk!! Couldn't resist a tour of the chazza shops tho and they were blissfully quiet. Came away with a pair of B/N bright emerald green Moda in Pelle shoes. (I seem to have a 'thing' for weird shoes just now). Paid £4.35 for them, retail price £62.95. Lord knows what I will wear then with!!! Praps an emerald green scarf would be a start or mebbe I could dye them?

Gorgeous shoes! Stick with the jeans and a white or cream T shirt and you will look fabulous! Or black trousers?Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!10 -
The festive touch of green with an otherwise relatively severe trouser?7

With black and a matching scarf? Or a dress with a similar green in the pattern?
I had to laugh and share your description of Thirsk Tesco with DH.Nice to have the chazzers to yourself, though.

Going with the chazza thread collective of dark jeans and a jaunty bright green scarf! Many thanks! Did the rounds of Northallerton today, bought a pair of M & S amethyst coloured ankle grazer trousers but such a weird fit they will be re-donated. Northallerton’s Tesco war zone resulted in a platter of veggie sushi and a free carrot for Rudolph!Season’s greetings to all who celebrate in each and every way 🥰11
