Did I ever mention that I've met Kurt Russell (as in Goldie Hawn's other half - she was in the loo at the time.....)?7 -
Very envious of everyone's bargains. I popped into town today looking for some smart comfies for mum, most items seemed to be £4+, but I found four things I think will be suitable. Although I bought eight items altogether (a few may have slipped in for me) for a total of £36.50.
For mum I found two pairs of nice stretchy trousers, one from M&S collection and the other was Nutmeg which is Morrisons but they look brand new. Not sure on the sizing, but we'll soon find out. I also managed to get a lovely stretchy floral M&Co blouse which I think she'll love, as well as an M&S cowl neck stretchy top.
For myself I bought three jumpers and a pair of slightly stretchy M&S trousers. The trousers would have been ideal for mum but I don't think they'd be big enough. I've really got to stop buying stuff for myself though - I'm supposed to be decluttering!
While I was wandering, I was thinking a knitted waistcoat would be great for mum, but couldn't find anything donated. So, I popped into EWM and found a lovely waistcoat reduced to £10 in the sale (from £25) and I also bought the co-ordinating top. Both will go very well with the CS items though, so very pleased with today's bargains. I will have a better idea of sizes for future once these have been tried on, and really hope mum won't be 'saving them for best'."Think of many things, do one"

Re jigsaws - i love them and regularly buy and send them back to CS - very rarely do I find a piece missing, if so I mark it on the box and pop a note on it before I donate it back.Sealed pot challenge 822

We have a person in our Friends of the Library who will try out any opened jigsaws or will sit and count out the pieces to be sure they are all there. Very popular at our Book Sales which are really whatever-we-can-get-to-sell sales.12

I had a double chazzer-fail this weekend:
- My £3 milk frother stopped working
- My clothes rack collapsed under sheer weight of scarves

@Potternerd Oooooh love the bag....looks so jolly!!
Yesterday I spent the most on one item in a chazza shop than I have ever done beforeMy 14 month old JVC Smart TV went kaput, just out of warranty of course! Was gonna wait til after Chrimbo and get a new one from John Lewis with their included 5yr warranty but......called into the St Michael's Hospice furniture chazza, just outside Harrogate, for a nosy. They always have a few TV's, all tested and working, but I hadn't really considered pre-loved for my main TV even though I have had a smaller smart TV from there that has been brilliant. Was very hesitant
but came away with a nearly new Panasonic for £120, (currently selling for around £350). Was dreading setting it up but surprise, surprise that went like a dream! (still has someone's Netflix account up and running....why don't people de-activate these accounts before donating?) Just hope this one lasts longer than 14 months!!!
