Loving the bargains (esp the glittery shoes !)Sealed pot challenge 822
Jan - £176.66 :j6 -
Those are all lovely, @Miró. I have a belt a lot like those shoes and I doubt I've ever worn it but it would party-fy a plain dress perfectly. You just have to find an occasion now.SandyShores said:I never thought to look out for bargains for my mum. I must take some measurements when I see her as she is such a different shape to me.

I'm loving the swimsuit and heels. Can the heels just be worn with jeans? Just for fun? I think they would dress up and a fairly average day outfit if you know what I mean (I'm so not into keeping things for best LOL)Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!8 -
Good thinking....gonna try the glittery heels with some dark navy jeans!! As for the swimsuit....if only I was 20 years younger, (and a stone or so lighter) !!!!!!6

Delighted. Popped into village CS to check for my wish list items - I need a mirror and lamp for the spare room. None but found some very acceptable cutlery. I have friends coming to stay and need some more forks - bought 4 forks and 4 knives for 10 pence each. They had more in the same design, I'm thinking I might buy some more if they still have tomorrow! Also the lovely lady offered to put a mirror by for me if one comes in later today
The shop has such a high turnover as is so inexpensive and I thought offering to save a mirror so I can have first dibs was so kind.

..... I have been doing Christmas shopping and the secrecy side of it has obviously gone to my head as I wondered how you were going to measure your Mum without her noticing! I suppose you could measure her clothes but in my imagination you were sneaking round with a tape measure and all sorts of unlikely excuses to drop it round her!
I didn't think I could come up with a tag line for 2025 but all of a sudden this popped into my head:

To bag some bargains in twenty fiveI have just no idea what her size is - she says 16 but that doesn't feel right. At the moment her go to is old baggy clothes for comfort and she tends to be in the same thing. I'd like to buy her some comfortable clothes so she feels a little bit smarter but won't worry about ruining.
@Rosa_Damascena unfortunately my mum and I are a completely different shape and size - she is shorter but a bigger size and isn't very mobile. Unfortunately due to her height, the baggy look is making her look like a huge round ball which she isn't, its just disguising her shape.
I haven't really thought about charity shopping for her before. Although she has lots of clothes she doesn't really have a lot for this stage of life - she needs comfort but it would be nice for her to have some luxurious comfort. Thinking soft warm and stretchy but good shape.
Definitely going to bag some bargains in 25 Cherryfudge :"Think of many things, do one"
