Trip to Otley yesterday…picked up this Joe Browns dress for 99p 😊. Brand new and with a separate full underslip. Bit odd tho! Didn’t realise it was a JB dress til I got home. This St Gemma’s Hospice shop, (and others tooI think), has an arrangement with JB to accept brand new items on the understanding that they are sold for a realistic price and they are normally displayed in St Gemma’s on the small ‘quality’ rail. This was with all the other 99p stuff. Wonder if the policy has changed or if it is an oversight?

The dress is just my kind of thing @Miró - in fact I have several similar in my own wardrobe.
I have a bit of a thing about breast pockets though, it does those of us with a good chest no favoursNo man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.7 -

The number of tops, shirts, blouses, jackets etc. that I've looked at over the years and thought no to because of the pockets up top must run into the millions by now.
Anyhoo, I managed to get to my favourite bhf shop earlier today and bought a rather battered copy of Paul Gallico's Flowers for Mrs Harris which I'm looking forward to reading in bed tonight. I nearly forgot to say it cost £2 which isn't much for something that's older than I am and still soldiering on.8 -
Nice dress!
I was in the Aldgate East area yesterday while my husband attended a funeral. I walked up to an old favourite Spitalfields shop to mooch, but it wasn't open yet. Shame.2025 GOALS

Some lovely finds - well done chazzer hunters!
My only recent purchase has been a brooch for Mum for Christmas. She recently bought a new black coat and said she'd been looking for something to brighten it up. She is also getting a smart TV from DSis and I, so will win the prize for the smallest and largest gifts under the tree.
I went to Patrick Grant's book tour event in our local town last Sunday. He signed a copy of his book after and we spent some time chatting - what a lovely guy. His mantra - buy less, buy better, buy local IF YOU CAN. He also buys in CSs!!

I love my recent jumper purchases from the CSs. They are very cosy in the windy and rainy weather.
I went to about 4 different shops, 2 or 3 items smelled very musty so I purchased some lenor unstoppables and washed everything (and hung some them to air outside too). I think its only 1 or maybe 2 shops, my regular shops don't have this problem and I've even worn things straight after purchase sometimes. Does anyone else come across this problem? Is it just the way they store them? I'm going to pay more attention next time I'm shopping, because when I donate I can't bear that I send clean items but they'd become musty."Think of many things, do one"

) and I've had to cut my car boot habit back as I bought a ridiculous amount last year. I still go in to check for books and favourite Denby, though, and sometimes come out with random other things.

I wonder whether some storage also gets damp?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
