Lovely stuff! I spent £1.50 0n a book for me and £3.20 on a book as a gift (hardcover and good condition).
I also had the first wear of a Christmas jumper I bought in one of the Thirsk charity shops last year and noticed it's too big, but too big in a nice way - perfect for under a waterproof in a recent deluge, so I didn't freeze and still looked festive when I arrived where I was going.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. I'm just back from a trip away and am so glad to be home, catching up on this thread and our collective rescues is a small but significant part of what I love about living here. I found plenty of cheap merchandise abroad, but nothing beats the quality and variety I find in the great British chaz! My mum often gets complimented on her outfits, 80% of which I find for her pre-loved.
No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.10 -

Love the joules jumper. No finds but dropped a bag of stuff off, all saleable. Am out of love with Vinted at the moment as life stresses high.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!9 -
Not charity shop, but second hand, I found a coat with Vinted as I couldn't find a red coat I liked in the charity shops. I had to dry clean it, but I still think it is a bargain as it was pure wool.9

I think the chazza Christmas Fairy is on a mission to get me to buy all sorts of daft stuff at the moment. First was a pair of navy very sparkly Nine West heels from the YMCA shop in Ripon for £6. This then necessitated the purchase a a Boden navy velvet dress to go with them, (Vinted). No idea where I am going to wear this outfit! 🙄. Then in St Gemma’s in Otley I bought a Ted Baker b/n swimsuit, for £2.99. Why when no hols planned and far too skimpy for me??? 🙄. Today, in our local Sue Ryder shop I picked up a b/n M&S burgundy & white spotted dressing gown for £4. 😊. At least this is festive and will keep me warm!
