    So today's little treat to feel fab, was a lovely Reiki session and then bought myself some lovely lacey knickers...lol.  N ever too old, even at 66!  Think its little things like this that are starting to make me feel better.
    Hope everyone else had a good day

    Saw my chiropractor today and he doesn't want to see me for a month!  So pleased with my progress, pain is so low now.  I just need to sort myself out.

    Trying to cheer myself up with colouring my hair has been a disaster.  It was too dark and too red so I used clarifying shampoo a couple of times to try to make it a bit lighter and then I looked like a belisha beacon.  Bought some blue shampoo and conditioner to tone it down.  To be honest it is still too dark and too red, maybe just not quite as red and dark.  I'm going to wash it again hope it settles down.  The other problem was the dye dripped and I didn't notice so I had a big stain on my white and light grey bathroom floor.  I've spent two days scrubbing it with bleach and it has almost disappeared.

    I think maybe I need to just go natural, I wish my hair was white  but it is sort of battleship grey.  I remember my grandad was the same, very dark grey hair till he died in his 80s.  To be honest it suited him better than it suits me.  Hey ho, my other grandad was bald so it could be worse.

    I know we are supposed to be about money saving but would it be worth having a consultation with a hairdresser.  See what they can come up with,  tbh I quite like that steely grey. It can look really nice.

    I'm starting to embrace my greys after a long period of covering them up but starting to feel I needed a change.  I had a consultation with a hairdresser and then I booked in for a cut and a few highlights/toner.  The roots don't feel as noticeable as usual and its about 2 months now.  I'm planning to eventually go every 3 or 4 months and just have some face-framing highlights / pick out any whiter bits with highlights.  I'm not fully grey yet but won't know for sure until the colour has grown out a bit more.  It won't be fully natural but there will be more of my natural hair than colour - well that's the plan, fingers crossed.

    Good luck with the au natural colour ladies it is a combination of finding a good cutter and them checking what sort of hair you have and what/how best to manage the transition.

    I have been using up old nail varnish as I like a bit of shine on my nails - yet you can never get to the bottom of a bottle. Anyway a couple of said polishes have gone I got fed up of messing with the dregs and am now checking in my stash of stuff! for another to replace the 2 gone.
    Feeling fab can come from internally as well as externally - for me its rare the 2 at the same time  :|  That's real life though. It is times like this when actually just doing that very small thing that does make a difference. Home does have an impact too, so there are some things here that are also appropriate from other threads I am on. So together being resourceful with what we have and also UU(using up) and decluttering all work together. Every journey starts with the first step and many small ones follow that.

    @helensbiggestfan & @Watty1 belated celebration birthdays.

    Have a good weekend all

    Well I did the clarifying shampoo and then the blue shampoo and conditioner again last night and it looks much better, in fact it is a very good match for my natural colour prior to going grey.  I'm going to leave it for a few weeks and get it done before my Buckingham Palace visit and then  I think I'm just going grey.

    I've booked a facial for next week, I thought it might buck me up a bit and as I haven't got to pay chiropractor for a month I thought I'd invest the saving in me.

    @helensbiggestfan are you selling as well?  This is the time of year for house hunting isn't it.  The market seems very slow where I am, not much coming on the market but not much selling either.  Not sure what that means.  I hope the viewing goes well.

    I have a GC living with me at the moment, lovely in some ways but the mess!!! How much he eats!!!!  I will miss him when he goes off to university in September but a tidy house and halving the shopping bill will be some compensation.  He's been here for 3 years fulltime but was here lots before that, spent lockdown with us for example.  He's working hard to save some money for university so I'm not seeing that much of him at the moment.

    That is a shame. What type of home are you looking for? I did see a house I liked in Broadstairs on Rightmove, but we aren't in the position to move yet. Hopefully something similar will come up when we are ready.

    I am getting my hair cut finally tomorrow and it so needs it. I am going to wet my hair and do a treatment before I leave to go to the appointment. I might have a mooch around the chazzers in Southend first.

    I have just gone out to get some steps in and I bought a notebook and some pens so I can write down everything I am eating in a day. The new weighing scales arrived and the news was not good, lol! I have said to myself that I have until the end of April to lose some weight and then I will book my NHS health check. I want to see if my cholesterol has come down in the past three months. I have cut out coffee (as that sometimes raises my cholesterol for some reason) and upped my exercise, but I need to stop sabotaging my own efforts and eat healthier. The doctor I saw at the hospital said it could be peri-menopause affecting my cholesterol too, but I just need to see if it has dropped considering my family history of having heart attacks young.

    I hope everyone has a nice day. The park near me was full of families having picnics and it felt very Springlike. :)
