    Hi all,

    Lovely design @Wraithlady xx

By my reckoning all the cards have been posted but we haven't seen a photo from @Wraithlady - is that right? If you're able to post a photo we can admire your stitchers' work <3 Thank you xx

I went to an evening with Patrick Grant last night (Sewing Bee). He was promoting his book but I got to speak to him afterwards - OMG such a lovely guy and speaks so much sense. He was saying that working with your hands - crafting in any sense - is so undervalued and if you're not academic it's like you've 'failed' somehow. Really agreed with him on so many levels, including the awfulness of mass consumerism and how buying less but QUALITY is what really should matter. He signed my book and we had a photo too. He's very tall - or I'm very short!!!

Hope everyone is getting set for Christmas. My SIL is still in hospital although now awake and on a respiratory ward. Feel awful getting on with sorting gifts/food/celebrations for Christmas but not much I can do really. She will be in hospital for the foreseeable. DH has just gone to BIL's to have dinner and stay over, so will get an update tomorrow.

Hi Coxy so sorry to hear about your SiL, didn’t know she was so very unwell.
Patrick sounds like an engaging man who talks a lot of sense. I saw your post on FB and added his book to my online book store wish lists. I need to get it before the end of the year as one of my goals in 25 is to read all the books I currently own either in the flesh or or on my Kindle without buying ANYMORE.

Hello ladies, coxy sorry about your sil, i hope she is on the mend soon, your meeting with Patrick sounds awesome.

I finished my crochet christmas jumper just in time for our K&N christmas party, it was a big hit and the party was wonderful.
