  • Well done on your STS MrsP. Better thana gsin just before your week of fun!

Sorry your wrist is hurting so much bubbs. Hopefully it settles soon.

Good plan to send dh out cycling maddiemay. Brownie points are always good to have in the bag.

Really hope Longwalker does come back. I m8ss her craic.

I have a streaming cold. Thankfully off work mostly over the weekend.

Fasting is going well. Having the weetabix cheesecake thing with banana at breakfast around 5am. Then my usual couscous for dinner at just after 6pm so it isn't a long day compared to fasting in the summer months when it is about 20 hours!

Just making sure I'm keeping well-hydrated which helps to cut down on snacks.

Well my opposite shoulder hurts thats the side i landed when i tripped but i reckon i must have threw my left hand out and bashed my wrist, that's the only way i could think i hurt it, swelling has gone down a bit but still have a job holding anything with weight.

Oh no, hope she makes a speedy recovery xx

Hi everyone, trying to read along when I can but I’ve missed a lot,  it’s been a mad few months - wish I could have afforded to retire years ago, having a ball 😁

Came home last night from three days away and made class by the skin of my teeth this morning. And I’ve no idea how, but have only put a pound on over the last three weeks. I’ll take that with bells on! I’m hoping to go to class next week then I’m away to family in Austria for two weeks. Once back things should calm down and I really want to focus on getting to target for summer.

Out for lunch and cocktails today then a quiet few days until a couple of mid week dinners. Will be good when I can 😁

Good to hear from you @Jellybaby. You're doing exactly the right thing, keeping in touch with your group and not letting things get out of hand. That gain is tiny so you'll soon see that off when things settle down. 👍

So pleased you're enjoying your retirement. I think getting to target for the summer is a great idea. It's always harder to hide the flab in summer clothes. 😁

I'm out dancing tomorrow afternoon so I want to prep as much as I can today. I'll skip most of the afternoon tea. It's a buffet and people are good with healthy options like fruit kebabs so I'll just nibble, have lunch before I go and dinner when I get home. That's the plan. 🤞

    Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
    L- cold meat (S), bubble and squeak (F, S), pickles (S)
    D- chicken tray bake (P, S), SW chips (F)
    Syns - weekend wine 😊

    Hi all,

Sorry for lack of posting, just trying to keep plodding and get through the working week! Things a little more interesting at work this week, so hope it continues. Still not loving the 5 days but needs must. DH's grievance was thrown out by the Chief People Person so he has a final consultation meeting on Tuesday. He is okay, bit down but I have made a loooooooong list of jobs to do around the house and garden, which to be fair, he is getting on with. We will be fine financially for about a year - hoping it doesn't take that long for something to come along though!

Glad you are enjoying your retirement @Jellybaby x
    Happy belated birthday @maman x
Sorry to hear about your wrist/shoulder @bubbs x
Hope DMum is doing okay @beanielou x
Well done on the STS @MrsPorridge x
    Happy weekend away @joedenise x
    What's happened to @Longwalker?!!

I went to group this morning and lost 1.5lb so now back in target range, which is good as I'm trying to spend the least possible atm. I may have also suggested we put together a group team for a Race for Life event this summer eeeek.

Dinner tonight is a new recipe from the Jan/Feb mag - Dr Pepper chicken. I'm going to make the marinade now and then settle down to watch the rugby - all 3 matches today whooop!

@bubbs and @joedenise thank you for the heads up on the meat offers, I bought a pork joint at Sains this morning, passed on the lamb as it is too much for the 2 of us, I tend to buy a little as needed as we eat rarely.
@Coxy11 great news on the loss, sorry about the decision against OH though.
    @maman enjoy the dancing.
@Jellybaby good result after your lovely time away.
@bubbs I hope the pain is easing, really knocks one about - I still have a very sore b-m after my fall on Tuesday (ground was slippery and feet just went from under me - couldn't get grip to get up and had to holler at a workman to pull me up - just as well I don't weigh very much and he was so kind to this old biddy.
I too hope that we will see Longwalker soon, miss her posts.
@NornIronRose you really seem to have the fasting sorted.
