Morning all, what a horrible day.  Really need to do some washing but going to leave it until tomorrow as it's at least supposed to be dry tomorrow but cold and cloudy but I should be able to get it out on the line for a bit of a blow before having to put all or most of it on the airer to finish off.

I watched that Panorama programme last night as well.  There are definitely lots of dodgy park owners around and they are just so expensive with the ground rents - certainly not a cheap way of living.  DH and I looked at a park home about 10 years ago locally and the owner was trying to say that although there was only a 10 month licence it would be OK to stay all year round as he was certain the Council wouldn't bother enforcing it!  So at least he wasn't quite as blatant as some of the site owners on Panorama last night - just very economical with the truth.  Even then it wasn't cheap - the park homes started at £150,000 for a small one bed going up to nearly £300,000 for a 3 bed larger unit!  Ground rent was £5,000 a year so I've no doubt by now that it would be £9-10,000 a year by now!  Glad we didn't go for it.

@NornIronRose I would go to group on Friday just so you know where you are.  As @bubbs says you will lose the week if you're on a Countdown.  If you're not on one then when you go next week you'll have to pay for the missed week so might as well go as it's paid for anyway whichever way you look at it!

Have to agree with your DH that burger is enormous!  No way you can pick that up and eat it, LOL!

Happy birthday @maman.  Have a great day and enjoy your birthday meal out which I'm sure you will!

    So today's plan:

    B - scrambled eggs and spinach on toast - HEB; P; S
L - LO kebab meat, salad in soft pitta - S; 6 (Kebab meat counted yesterday!)
    D - gammon, potatoes, onions, carrots - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - soft kebab 6 (can someone check if the syns are right please - I've always used them as HEB before!)

    Have a good day everyone.

Happy birthday @maman I hope that you have lots of treats in store. x

  • Well, change of plan folks! Got an email confirmation of my booking for tomorrow night, not tonight!!! Booked the wrong flippin night.

So new plan. My lovely consultant does a group this evening at 5.30. Fasting all day so perfect timing to go to group with an empty tum then home to break my fast just after 6. Hopefully doing a fasting WI will mean at least a STS.
So it means that I will now leave to drive to Warrington at about 4am tomorrow instead, do my course, then stay in the cute hotel and thankfully had booked the next day as annual leave anyway so can explore at my leisure before heading home.
So I think it is actually going to work out better, despite my mistake lol.

Bubbs I need to know what that dessert is. It looks lush! Jelly and fruit I can see, but what is the delicious looking creamy topping please?
And that burger looks amazing! Not that you could get your chops around it though :-)

🤞you'll be OK tonight @NornironRose. It's worked out well around the fasting.

That burger reminded me of Scooby Do @bubbs! 🤣

Thanks for birthday wishes. I'm having a quiet day but DD1 will be coming later. Lots of cards and gifts from DD2 when she came at weekend.

We're not going out until Thursday evening @joedenise as restaurants here are often closed or really quiet on Tuesdays. Instead we're having a treat of a fish supper, my favourite take away 😋

Breakfast and lunch on plan but bubbly will be involved later and possibly cake. 😁
  • Have a lovely birthday maman. A fish supper can't be beaten! Enjoy every bite.

Enjoy your fish supper and enjoy your birthday meal out on Thursday as well!  Two birthday meals can't be bad!!!

Meant to say earlier the HM doner kebab was lovely.  It was even OK reheated for lunch.  Didn't eat all the pitta as with the amount of salad I had I was stuffed before finishing it!

@NornIronRose - glad it's worked out even better than you thought with WI tonight after a fasting day.  I'm sure you'll enjoy breaking your fast after it.
