    Thanks for everyone's good wishes for today.  Pleased to say I'm back home and finally had some veg!!!!  I had onions in my sausage sandwich!!!!

    The procedure is now over and done with thankfully.  It was a bit painful at times and afterwards the Dr assured me that everything is OK.  However, if I ever have to have the procedure again in the future I should ask to be sedated to make it easier and less painful.  To be honest I hope I never have to go through it again.

    Spoke to the nurse when she discharged me afterwards and asked her about reintroducing the fibre foods slowly and she said she had no idea why I had been given that particular leaflet - seems I should have been given a different one which said to refrain from fibre for just the 3 days prior so I can now go back to normal eating so I made the most of it and had a couple of slices for wholemeal for lunch for my sandwich!  I will also be having more veg tonight with dinner.

    I've celebrated with a few Seville Orange and Persian Lime gin and tonics too!  Gin bought for me by DD1.  Was a bit "concerned" by the flavour but it's lovely!  She's told DH that if I want more she bought it in Aldi!  Don't think I'll be getting more - it's too moreish!

    @joedenise good news.

    Well, I've gone to pot today.  Started off with a crumpet with banana and some honey, lunch was a Cornish split with jam and cream, then a visit to the pub where I had some wine and crisps then home for stew and jacket spud (DH had dumplings), then some ice cream and chocolate!  Talk about self-sabotage. :)

    Hope you enjoyed your lamb @bubbs. I can't understand why your DH doesn't like it. 🤔

    Our pork was gorgeous. This Aldi joint is far better than the last one from Sainsburys.

    It happens @MrsPorridge. It just means you take the scenic route to target rather than route one. 😁 Just start afresh tomorrow. 👍
