Morning all, another miserable looking day although again it is forecast to be dry although at the moment the ground is very wet as it was raining all evening and probably most of the night as well.  The forecast is showing dry all day with less than 10% chance of rain so I may well hang out the washing I did yesterday for a bit of a blow as didn't dry overnight on the airer and I think the towels are always better after a blow on the line - certainly a bit softer!

Didn't feel like cooking last night so got a kebab - there was so much I'm having the LOs for lunch today - last day of being allowed salad!

Hope your DH's meeting this morning is a good one @Coxy11 after all the mucking around he's had.  You really need to know what's what so that you can all move on.

Having an easy day today!  Just need to run the hoover round and then hopefully can do a bit of crafting although it needs to brighten up a bit as I like decent daylight to do anything!

    Today's plan:

    B - Weetabix, milk, apple after - HEB; HEA2; S
    L - LO kebab, salad - P; S
D - steak, chips, onions - P; S; F (last day of being allowed onions too!)

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - milk
    HEB - Weetabix

Syns - none planned but will probably have something later.

    Have a good day everyone.

PS. the weather didn't play ball and started raining about 20 minutes ago so it's back indoors on the airer!  DH got it in and put on the airer as I was chopping up carrots which need using up to make some spicy carrot soup (no onions just onion powder just in case!).  That will do for lunch tomorrow and I'll also get some in the freezer for later in the month.

Forgot to say I weighed myself this morning and unfortunately no loss so STS again.  Can't see me losing anything if I have to stick to that rigid diet for a few weeks - more like it will be gains and I'll be back where I started again!  I only needed to lose 13lb in the first place but as I'm already 1.5lb over top end of target it isn't really that much to gain another 10.5lb and be back where I started!  Although don't think that'll happen as there can't be any alcohol either!

A mixed blessing regarding the no alcohol @joedenise. I called in to SW session and can also report a STS, bit miffed about it though as my own scales showed a loss today, in the past I have regularly noted a 1.5lb difference when I have check weighed after meeting, but have had a scales a little while now and of course they are not calibrated. Made a big pot of Mediterranean Veg soup this morning I await the results regarding the IBS with interest LOL.

@Coxy11 I do hope that your poor OH gets some positive news from today's meeting - this stuff just drags one down and down, the job redundancy itself is enough even when it is played by the book.
@beanielou so sorry that you are in so much pain and so very fed up - sending gentle hugs.

Tired today, but happy that I walked just under 6 miles yesterday. I need to conjure something up for supper, although I may stir some cold Salmon through couscous for me and leave OH to sort himself out with eggy beans and JP or SP fries, I feed him very well the other 6 days or so he has to get on with it the other days.  Lovely and sunny after a frosty and very foggy start, another cuppa and then off to walk with the dog, both of us happy when out and about, lots of lovely Spring things appearing to look at.

Sorry to hear you were disappointed with the STS @maddiemay but well done on your 6 mile walk! That's quite an achievement especially as you haven't been feeling great. 👍

My DH enjoys a ready meal when I'm not around for dinner. Macaroni cheese with baked beans is his favourite.

Hope the meeting went OK @Coxy11. It's a horrible situation and the sooner it's closed the better so you can all move forward.

I bought some new quick dry towels a couple of months ago @joedenise and I'm really pleased with them. Mine are from John Lewis but M&S sell them as well. I only bought 1 set to try but will definitely get another. I bought them so they dry quickly in the bathroom but it obviously works in the same way after washing.

Soup's a good idea to get some Speed while you're following this special diet.

    Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
L- ham (P), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- sausages, SW chips, baked beans (F), carrot chips, fried onions and mushrooms (S)
Syns - half Crunchie 3, Aldi sausages 1

That's a shame @NornironRose. 🙁 But don't forget that sticking to plan except for the off plan meal will show up on the scales too. Hopefully next week. 👆

Good to know you're OK and just busy @bubbs. 😊

Morning all, it's looking to be a nice day today and no rain forecast!  Having said that it was supposed to be dry yesterday and we had a downpour for about 15 minutes but was very heavy.  DH managed to get the washing in before it started as there was a bit of rain in the air when he went to put some food waste in the compost bin.  Washing had to be put back on the airer so at least it's dry now and folded and put away.

@maman - are the quick drying towels microfibre?  I've got one of those but don't really like it.  However we use the small microfibres they sell for cleaning to dry off the worst of water after showering and then the normal towels don't get soaking wet so dry fairly quickly anyway.  Originally we only started using the small microfibres in the motorhome as not much space for getting towels dry and because it worked so well we decided to do the same indoors.

I'm sure you'll soon shift that 1.5lb you've put on this week and probably a bit more by WI next week.  As they say quick to go on quick to come off.

Right it's the first day of my restricted diet!!!  Today's plan:

    B - eggs on toast
    L - spicy carrot soup
D - cornish pasty (home made)

Not going to be sticking to plan today as you can see with the pasty!  Obviously no onion in it but will sprinkle with onion powder for a bit of flavour.

    Have a good day everyone.
  • Mmmmmm a pasty would go down a treat right now! Enjoy it. You will probably come up with some good alternatives that you might really enjoy but it is going to be tough.
